Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Speaking of SDCC...I wanted to try something.

San Diego Comic Con starts in just two weeks. I will be attending this year for a sixth time and my third year in a row. I am planning to go to the DC Collectibles panel (usually held Thursday morning), and I will also be there on Preview Night, which means that I should be able to ask several questions in person. If you guys want to submit questions for me to ask, please post them here in this thread, and I’ll pick about three or four to ask Kevin and/or Jim.

Just to let you know up front, I am not going to ask questions like, “Is the line coming to an end?” “Are you guys done releasing figures individually?” “When will ____ be coming out?” or other questions that will surely be answered without having to be asked (some things are usually self evident from the offerings they bring to display at the DC booth or they get announced at the panel presentation).

Unless my laptop breaks between now and then, I should have forum access from San Diego, and I will try to post answers the evening after the panel (again, probably Thursday).

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'd be interested in knowing if they plan on doing any more vehicles/environments, like the Batcycle for instance?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Ok Kevin via instagram announced the superman 2-pack will be out next week 7/12. Man I can't wait to add superman to go with my batman.

Wow, lucky you to attend! Can you please ask if they plan to do the New Batman Adventures version of Bruce Wayne (black suit), Version 1 of Bruce Wayne (brown suit) and Clark Kent (blue suit)? Thanks a lot, brother!

Just saw Supes/Lois in a store in Australia (one chain here always gets DCC figs a week early) and i was not impressed. Poor paint apps on both sets. Funnily enough one of the Supes had chips on the belt and loops - the red was showing through! Sigh. Lois' eyes and lips are just not great... Babs better be better. Always been a defender of this line but finding it harder and harder.

Sounds like a great idea, thank you!
I have a question that really bug me about this line...
-Why more the line goes on and less articulations we have? I see no logic in that since actin figures lines should improove with time, not get worst.
That is my question, I hope i can see the answer! If not thanks anyway! ;)

Super! Here's mine:

Is there any chance of seeing figures based on Bruce Timm's 75th anniversary short Batman: Strange Days?

After the Mad Love set, how likely are you to continue harvesting Timm-inspired character designs from the comics?

Any chance of seeing figures based on the computer-animated Green Lantern series?

Cutting costs at the consumer's expense sums it up.

Just watched the Supes unboxing video. Spotted that god awful 5 pack box in the back :(

Anyone plan on getting the 5 pack that doesn't want all the figs? Still refuse to budge when it comes to that $40 box, so if anyone plans to sell any (with their accessories) loose, please post it in this thread :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Did anybody notice in the unboxing that Ivy's color has not been changed and also her hair does look different but still suspect?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Ooh I should have watched the video to the very end lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Going to go against the tide and say that I can't wait to get the 5 pack in August.

Won't display the box itself but they look good in that video and yes getting so many figures in one go will hurt the wallet (although the money has already been saved) but will be a lot of fun too!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It was difficult getting good shots that weren't blurry, but here's some screengrabs of Kevin holding the set from the end of the video. They'll be unboxing it on the first Thursday of Augustvso we'll get a much better look then!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow! Great effort for the screenshots SFA! I'm excited for this set, and I like how the packaging turned out.

Thanks man! I don't get why they show only those videos in facebook... YouTube isn't enough popular? -.-""
Anyway figures look cool! Im glad Ivy still look like the comic version speaking about colors! :yess:
The only "real" problem with that set is the box... no one care about it. Never hear a single person in any forum say: "Woah! Cool! That box is awesome! I will display the figures there!".
This was and still is a pretty great giant stupid/dumb idea. I join the Phantasm request, if anyone will sell these loose with accessories I'm interested too :D

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That box is awesome! I'll be using it to display figures.

That's a pretty clever design. I love the matte printing. It looks like fully rendered background art from the series.

I'm really looking forward to the unboxing video!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Haven't watched it myself, but apparently at the end of the video they mention there are no other plans for more Superman TAS, but to buy the 2 pack if we want a chance for more? I remember when it was looking like we would eventually go into JLU. Now I'm wondering if BTAS will even be completed. I've heard multiple rumors that the person now in charge of DCC doesn't like action figures and prefers statues. It's getting really hard for me not to take that with a grain of salt at this point :/

As for Superman, my love for the show is equal to BTAS, so I'm getting that set but I have no illusions right now that anything more will come of it. It'll just have to represent the show like the Beyond set does.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That is a really nice looking box. How is Renee's section attached to the box?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's not the box itself that is the problem it's the price of the set because of the box.
