DC Direct doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Anyone think any of these figures will hit discount or will everyone buy them up immediately.

Lots of them are already hard to find and expensive... can't imagine them getting cheaper. It's likely the most complete line of Batman Animated figures we'll see in our lifetimes.

I had a few Amazon gift cards, I purchased the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Batmobile 24" inch for almost nothing

It?s such a shame this line is dead now. I really wanted that Catwoman/Selina and the updated Batgirl. I would have also loved to have seen more characters (like a Cassandra Cain Batgirl, Batwoman, Batwing etc)

I collect/collected exclusively only Batman: The Animated Series, but, in the veins of "the adventures continues", I bought Roxy Rocket, since she was actually born in the BTAS comics not on TNBA. Such a fabulous figure and goes along tremendously well with the BTAS figures.

Also, since the line is over and also in the veins of "the adventures continues", I bought TNBA Baby Doll. I waited until now for her original BTAS version but oh well... but I must say, her TNBA design has since grown on me and the figure is amazing. She goes along with the other BTAS figures really really well.

I can now say my collection is complete. Thank you so much, DCC/DC Direct.

For anyone on the hunt I noticed that All Time Toy Store (a physical store in MD with a heavy ebay presence) has several figures in this line for sale USED.

Starting to collect this line after it ended is quite painful.

The after-market price on some of these characters is obscene.

To make matters worse, DCC/DCD is not known for their quality. I'd die if I ever spent the going rate for some of these figures only to have a joint break while posing.

I'm screwed. lol

The latest wave is starting to slowly sell out. I got lucky and was able to nab a substandard Red Hood off of BBTS yesterday. Checked again this morning and he's now completely sold out there, as is Batman and Robin.

Question to guys with experience collecting this line, is the fact that DC Collectibles is shutting down making the Batmobile harder to find or was it that way all along? What would be a fair price for one nowadays? I keep seeing they're going way past $200 for the non-deluxe version.

I got my deluxe batmobile set for $140 back when DC Collectibles was still in business, with it originally being $175. While I like it a lot I'm not sure if I'd say it's worth over $200.

Before the Scarecrow wave came out there was a long lull in the line where you could find nearly everything for a reasonable price, some stuff even below their original retail price. For a while the only items hard to find at a good price were Man-Bat and the GCPD set.

Personally I bought back to 2018 if I remember correctly the standard Batmobile for 70€, the batplane for 90€ ( i sold quickly as it is quite impossible to display properly), Batman and joker expression pack for 70€ each and Harley for 20€.

Thankfully that is exactly the time period when I got into this line! Just like you said, I was able to get everything I wanted (mostly from eBay) at or below retail.
