Started on my backlog of JLA today and I'm finding I just don't care about the story and would much rather just be reading an individual Batman title instead

If you're referring to the New 52 Justice League, I have to ask: What story??

Seriously, there was more plot (and boundless better characterizations) in 5 minutes of one of the animated Justice League episodes than in all 6 issues of this Johns/Lee junk combined. And that's not hyperbole at all.

Yeah, I saw that earlier. The stupidity continues.

A lot of the New 52 has been pretty good, but not whats supposed to be the flagship title. With the exception of the Aquaman book Johns is quickly turning into a train wreck. Now he's going to go and ruin Captain Marvel (and, ____ you DC, I'll always call him that).

Not a big fan f the character but if they went and changed let's say batman's name into the dark knight since its also an associated title of his , i would be pissed .
Feel bad for all of this character's fans.. this must feel like a big FU
and im not saying that i dont know who Cap Marvel is but i had to look twice when i saw the pic to see who i was looking at.
Most of the original elements are there but it seems like everything is wrong and does not fit what i remember of him

I picked up the free Vertigo 2012 Preview issue last week (with the first 4-5 pages of each #1) and they all were quite good and show promise. Gonna give each one a shot. Fairest #1 comes out this week and then one of the others each week after that.

Finally flipped through JLA, awful awful stuff. Can we concede that Jim Lee is way past his prime?

Still sticking with Bats and 'Tec, but am easily avoiding everything else. There's some decent stuff from what I gather, I just don't care anymore. Johns has ruined DC for me like Bendis ruined Marvel. Good writers on some specific books that are given the reins to the whole company because they're 'popular'.

Agreed. And to think, McDuffie was actually fired from writing JLA back around the time Lee & Johns were promoted to the Roundtable of Hack Executives.

Bizzaro should represent DC's braintrust as the mascot, not Superman.

At least Synder, Lemire, Robinson and a few others have remained untainted, so far.

The code also works on Batman, but the total comes to $19.19 for that title. I don't read Dark Knight, but I subscribed to Batman. With the upcoming price hike, this helps a lot.

I've subscribed through these discount subscription companies in the past and have had to wait a looooooooooong time for the subscription to start, but it's always come through in the end. Worth it for those looking for a deal, but definitely not for the impatient.

Animal Man disappointed me a little today. Maybe it was the calm before the storm, and the next issue will be action packed.

Swamp Thing was awesome. Some striking horror visuals in this one.
