I fkn hate that those are only like 7", if that was like 12-15 it'd be amazing.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I agree with that sentiment. I can see how it'd fit in well if you were a B&W collector, but damn, it'd be cool as a bigger statue. I kind of wonder if, when they released it, and the Arkham series turned out to be a huge success for Hot Toys, they'd get the Origins license. I just think that'd make a badass figure.

Damn nice statue!

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

That's actually a really nice looking statue.

Seeing that statue makes me wish they'd include alternate capes with Batman figures sometimes. I do prefer plastic sculpted capes over cloth ones, but of course that means they basically don't move.

Would be nice if they could include alternate dynamic sculpted capes to swap out for action poses.

Especially with the Arkham Batman figures since he spends most of the games with his cape outstretched, an 'in flight' sculpted cape would make a nice alternative.

I'm actually surprised DCC never made a deluxe Batman figure, with extra artic, all his gadgets and a poseable or alternative 'in flight' cape sculpt.

So a quick question as I've been away in LA, the new batman that comes with bane is a repaint of the AA one or a brand new AA one?

the batman that comes with bane is the old series 1 AA batman repainted in black/grey.

Here's a full body picture of both Bane and Joker/ They look awesome in my opinion.

The Penguin's cigar?

Can you actually attach the cigar in his mouth or is it just in this photo?
Cuz so many people say you can't!

Come on, guys, at least one of you owns this figure. Please let me know, if we can attach the cigar to his mouth or is it just this photo?

Thank you.

^ Well I've just tried with my Penguin figure and it ain't happening! The cigar is just too wide to fit. It kinda looks like it ought too but there's no way it's happeing.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I also just had a go... That guy must have some tiny blu-tac or something! It ain't staying!!

You can put Penguin's cigar in his mouth. It's a very taxing thing to do and it takes patience.

What I do is I tuck it in the right corner of his mouth then SLOWLY rotate it around until the cigar hits a sweet spot where it's wedged in his mouth. It takes a lot of patience and attempts. And it is a fragile connection. Pose him, particularly his head, before putting the cigar in. I could make a video to try and help if anyone would like.

I don't normally display him with the hat, I just didn't want to lose it while moving my Arkham figures to a new shelf.

Thanx, SFA, TheCallumRead and The Penguin.

Well, at least now I do not regret that much supergluing it between his fingers. I did that before I see it could be attached to his mouth in a photo!
However, if it is that hard to attach it to his mouth, I would've tried to rasp the cigar's end to make it thinner and pointed to stick it in his mouth.

Eh, you can always use the 2 pack version to have the cigar in his mouth. Between that and hatted or hatless, you can have 2 decent Penguin looks to justify having to get a second Penguin to get Sickle.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Does anyone know when BBTS will be releasing AO series 1 as one wave? At the moment they're all just seperate preorders and I'd rather buy them all in one go.

Maybe they will not include the cigar with the 2 pack :wink1: but we'll see!
Thanks.

Not a figure, but did any of you see the Arkham Origins Black & White Statue? I actually think I like his face better here than on the AC statue:

They come out at different times, so I doubt they will. Its kinda like the second half of a season of Breaking Bad coming out a year later. So in that sense, they are 'wave 1' but really its two small waves a couple of months apart

Black Mask's problem is they sculpted the pinstripes instead of painting them. The suit isn't grooved like corduroy! :slap:
