Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Glad to hear Titan Joker is out really early, makes a change from a delay. And series 3 next week, that'll be good.

And it's NYCC soon, isn't it? Perhaps we'll see more figures there? I'd expect Solomon Grundy at least.

Yeah, series 3 and Titan Joker next week is nice, but sad at the same time. After those figures, the line could very well be done with there not being ANY other figures previewed or shown yet. Like you said, hopefully NYCC changes that. Mid October for that I think. At least that is how it was last year. Man, a full year wait from being teased about a Grundy! Hopefully it happens!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Even if they tease something, after next week it will be a years wait at least until anything else is released.

Glad the only other thing I want to finish my set is the new Batman and Penguin. Ra's I wanted but he looks full retard.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Well, DCC hasn't quite kept their year out scheduel lately. Its been much shorter, look at series 3 for example. Thats what, 8 months. Better than 12+!

But thats why I'm surprised we haven't heard about more figures yet. They are so far out that now that we have the end of the known line, it makes it seem like the end of the line period. I can't think of a time besides between AA and AC that we had figures without knowing what was next. Hope I'm wrong, but I've collected toys too long to not know the signs of a dead line :(

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Honestly I think its done, maybe theyll do Grundy if he's already sculpted. They could definately get one more solid wave from a sales standpoint but it's clear to me and alot of others quality keeps dropping tho some won't admit it which is why I think alot of people are jumping ship.

My LCS isn't even bothering w/ wave 3 or the Titan Joker.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

What other characters could they possibly do? Cash? Gordon? Another purple colored detective mode bats?

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'd be fine with a Joker 2.0, Two-Face, Thug (of some type), battle-damaged Catwoman, and Cash wave. Or swap out Catwoman for Talia.

Wave 4 :

Two-Face, Talia Al Ghul, Hugo Strange, Deadshot, Black Mask (Only black mask is a stretch in terms of importance)

Deluxe Wave 3 :

Deluxe Solomon Grundy, Deluxe Abramov Bros 2-pack.

*sigh* The line has no signs of ending. It's always sold well, the waves are now fleshed out with non-essential thugs, DCD said at SDCC that the line was popular and doing well and that more would be definitely be coming. You're fearmongering again, you did this before and we all explained how there were really no signs of it ending - infact, the evidence suggests it's really doing well. Obviously, now that it's big, they'll be spacing out the releases a bit more, to make the line last (also a reason why they're including thugs now). And it being big is also why they're able to release deluxe figures now - Freeze was moved from Wave 1 because the line took off and gave them enough money to be able to do a line of bigger figures.

And there are plenty of characters left that they could include. They could easily stretch it to another two waves if they include thugs, and even more if they rerelease some AA figures. Clayface, Grundy, the Twins and a new Bane could cover two more deluxe lines, as well.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Well these figures have yet to be released, and I dare say they are key characters;

hugo
Deadshot
Two-face
Talia
Solomon Grundy
Clayface
Nightwing

The fact they have done Joker thugs, surely must mean they will be doing many more waves as over the key character of the whole of Arkham City; Hugo, Joker, Clayface and Ra's, theyve done ONE of them. ONE.

On top of doing Tyger Guards, Penguin guards and Aaron cash. How they could stop the waves after doing Hush who you see for 10 seconds, and hatter who you see for 20 seconds over key characters named above, would be downright imbecillic.

Yeah, which is why we pretty much know that the line is continuing.

I'm sure at one point we had a definitive list of figures left that they could do.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Thats the thing. Some signs point to the line continuing and others point to it ending. I can see it easily from either side. I hope it continues as the line is far from complete, but the fact we haven't heard anything beyond the wave next week is cause for concern. SDCC REALLY should have shown us something, even if it was one unfinished prototype. The fact there was nothing should worry some of you. If NYCC brings nothing, then its all but offical that the line is dead. I hope it continues. I'd love it to rival Justice and Blackest Night in numbers of figures :drool

There are pretty much no signs of this ending given that they specifically said more figures were coming at their SDCC presentation.
