Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'll be getting Titan Joker, and both Joker thiugs, but that's more down to me being a big Joker collector, rather than them being particularly essential. I do quite like the thugs though...

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

On a different subject - I'm really starting to think that Catwoman may have moveable goggles like the DCD Hush version had.... This photo shows there is a strap, and the goggles aren't exactly sculpted flush to the head, so it's entirely possible:

moveable goggles would be an awesome plus for this figure. she doesn't look too bad in this pic either

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I had a girlfriend like this catwomen figure. from certain angles she looked hot, but from other angles she was not. ya I'm going to be buying all these arkham figures. even titan joker grew on me. I will get up early to pick up the deluxe figures cause I'm paranoid they will be gone if i try later in the day. does anyone know if dc direct makes less of deluxe figures compared to regular figs?

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Here comes some hypocrisy. Freeze and Croc have just been listed on the ForbiddenPlanet website here in the UK, priced at £36 each. Which isn't a straight conversion of the US price, and makes Freeze really on the expensive side.

So, those complaining about the US pricing should count their blessings, lol.

Maybe so. But that isn't hypocrisy. Bad luck. Raw deal. Ripoff. Maybe even a double standard. Not hypocrisy.

The hypocrisy is that I've been saying all along 'DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT PRICES, IF YOU WANT HIM GET HIM' etc but now I'm the one complaining.

Ah. I'm up to speed now. Carry on.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I really hate it when people try to do unfunny comics when posting pictures/reviews of figures. Especially ones like that, which is just an expression of the guy's sexual frustration. I don't like people living up to cliches. Makes me sad.

Aaaaaanyway, the DCD version looks far, far better in basically every way.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I agree that the DCD version looks better. I usually skip Mattel figures that have a DCD counterpart. I bought the Batman/Two Face set for the Two Face (which fits in with the DCD figures remarkably well). Skipped Joker/ Robin. I'll skip Harley.

I'll probably get the Mattel Nightwing, though -- since a DCD hasn't yet announced a Nightwing.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

It will be interesting to see how DCD's Two-face and Nightwing compair to Mattel's. The only downside to Two-face is I feel the burns are too soft. More smooth than rough or textured in any way. Hopefully DCD does better, but its really one of Mattel's better figures. And I still prefer their Robin to DCD's albino cockeyed Robin.

yaa kinda reminds me of sean long's youtube reviews so unfunny, and the guy thinks it's hilarious.

Oh dear god, I'd actually managed to block him out of my memory. Used to watch his videos all the time because for some reason I like getting annoyed about stuff. Just terrible.

Yeah, Two-Face is the one I'm (and probably most people are) most looking forward to seeing from DCD, which no doubt means they'll leave him until the final wave :lol
Will be nice to see what DCD does give us for Two-Face though. I have a feeling it'll blow Mattel's version out of the water.

I just pre-ordered Croc and Freeze :D no way I'm going to risk trying to find these on release. I have a feeling they're going to sell out fast despite the prices.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I think DC direct have another series up there sleeve and we just haven't seen or herd anything about it cause there's still 2 more waves plus the deluxe series coming out. will all the deluxe titan joker, freeze and crock come out the same day?

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

We've already seen enough waves to get us through til the end of the year, I dont want them to tease stuff I have to wait a year for yet.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

lol very true! It's nice that we get to see all these new figures but then there's the waiting....!
I would hazzard a guess that we'll see some new stuff at SDCC though. Perhaps the much anticipated 13" Grundy figure or maybe even wave 4 of the regular figures.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Have to do a Nightwing and Two Face.

Perhaps deluxe Grundy and Clayface.

Then some random thugs to fill out the rest.
