GREAT WORK AS ALWAYS CF! :bow

WOW!! You must to have really immersed yourself in this project, like a madman.

When we last spoke I figured you may have it banged out by January 09'.

Not in like (2) days! :eek Holy **** bro. :rock

You must have really enjoyed this project. :D

Beauty. Really well done. I completely agree with the taking out the red with your new scheme, it does put emphasis back on the statue. Also agree with the comment about shrinking the head a bit would have made this perfect!

Oustanding work!

awesome job bro. wish mine looked like that. by the way, how did you fix the leaning problem:confused: thats the only thing that bugs me about mine.

Put a lot of heat on the right knee. Bend. Hold in place til cool (or run under cold water).

DDiV....Nope, no updates :D

Kidding...

Here are the updates Will is talking about. He wanted the jeans to have the 'destroyed' look that all the hip youngsters are wearing today...(damn whippersnappers I call em)....

What do you freaks think?

Will also doesn't think the base 'pops' enough. Again, I think it blends nicely, but he wants suggestions from the group... Feel free to photoshop in some color.

This just looks wicked. Too bad that head isn't smaller. It's the only thing that turned me off when this piece was released. Your changes make him look great. Beautiful job you did on this piece.

Thanks guys. Here's the final photos of this piece. The base is completely redone, and I took the cuffs off of the bottom of the pants.

Final Side by Side...

One note regarding the oversize head. It is indeed oversize, but in most photos I see, it's even MORE emphasized by the way the pictures are taken. Take the side by side above. On the left, it appears the camera was above the statue when the photo was taken because of how much of the base you can see. On the right, the head is still a tad big, but much closer to normal, as i positioned the camera more toward the waistline of the subject. Cameras have a tendency to make things that are closer to the lens bigger than surrounding items. When people are photographing their statues, they are usually above it shooting down and are focused on the face.
