Being the necromorphs is really fun, you can choose where you spawn, you sort of float the camera around the level as if you were watching the action after you were in out in a S&D match in COD. From here you can watch where the action is and spawn in a grate or vent and pop out and attack an unsuspecting space marine as he walks by.

But as a necromorph you cannot go head to head with a marine you will die, the firepower is far too much. You need to rely on surprise attacks or teaming up on them. If you run straight ahead you will get taken apart by a plasma cutter no problem.

It was funny when I was an necromorph someone shot off my head and I was still running the level no problem attacking people.

It is fun and has some strategy to it. I like how you need to adapt your play style to what side you are, as opposed to COD where no matter what side you are you play the same unless it's a team objective games. Each side has it's strengths and weaknesses which you need to use to your advantage and exploit.

Feels promising enough to play a good while after beating the campaign.

That's the same in every multiplayer game though....It's fun but I've played the beta maybe 3 times at the most.

Amazon has jumped the gun, having posted an image of what looks to be the real deal. Of course, I’m talking about the Dead Space 2 Collector’s Edition that EA is as of yet still not detailing. Looks like a pretty good package. I doubt that plasma cutter will be 1:1 scale but it still looks pretty awesome.
