I am the same way; sure, you could skip the first, but the little details would be completely out-of-context..

Think that was my issue with Witcher 2 - I felt like I was missing the big picture most of the time

Like all trilogy style games, first games paves the way, second game is the best, third waivers a bit but is still good. Ex. Assassins creed series

yeah, so many insane moments in that game. I can't wait to see how they top it in 3

Just hit Chapter 13 of my refresher playthrough; forgot how many awesome moments are in the game. The ejector seat being one of them. Can't wait for DS3 now....but the DS2 DLC will hold me once I beat the game again....and the best part, I never got around to playing more than 10 min of the DLC on the PS3, so this will be all-new for me, mostly.

Like Bruce, I also hope that we see a Dead Space game on the upcoming consoles - I can just imagine how crazy that'll be

I have Dead Space 2 on the PS3, and I've played Extraction with the six-axis controller, but it should be played with move.......kinda hard with standard controller, but I dug the game......reminded me of those arcade games as a kid
