May I enquire a few things? the bodysuit looks like it's simply red spandex with some black dying done to it, as opposed to red and black spandex sewn together. Am I correct?

Yep. That's it. He used to sew more of the pieces, but now it seems like he screen print onto the fabric (I think that the terminology).

I may do something simular with one of the red triad toy bodysuits, and a sharpie then.
