Mine finally came today after being delayed a day. Unfortunately the yellow and green creatures had some paint chips to them, so hopefully Sideshow will be able to take care of me there. Besides that minor annoyance (which I just felt would happen, but at least it isn't very bad) the set is fantastic.

Like Jabba, the box was a lot larger than I expected. The table itself is also very heavy for its size. The creatures are also fairly heavy due to being metal. I think the higher quality materials justify the higher price tag. If these were all plastic, then it should have definately be half the price. The materials just say 'quality' to me.

One thing I thought was cool, is that the exclusive big brown creature (not even going to bother trying to name it) has a base to keep him and the exclusive yellow dude up. The base is the same shape as one of the chess board titles. I thought that was pretty clever to help hide the base.

Anyone know if these are bendable at all (I know some pewter is)? One of the creature's legs are clearly in a different pose than on the box and so it sands more with its tail than it's legs, although it looks fine.

The creature's legs are not bendable at all. The little green guy in my set had his leg broken off. I think SSC may have a lot of these little figures that need to be replaced.

I think so too. I expected the damage to be far worse though. I spotted the yellow creature's damage right away (on the back of his tail), but the green one I didn't spot till I was clearing the table off to move it to the shelf. Like a said, minor paint damage, but damage nonetheless.

Thanks for the heads up on the legs not bending. I'm usually over cautious and don't try anything that might break something unless I know for sure that I won't.

I thought the pieces were pewter?

Oh well, I'll wait 'til it hits the $5 bin.

Here are pictures of the box. The last one is the top of the box.
