i believe a soul mate is that one person that accepts you totally and 100%, as you do them. i've been with mine for 25 years. neither of us wander because we want to be with each other above anything and no other person could ever break that bond. sure, we have arguments once in a while, but that's to be expected because no couple is perfect. but i don't have to have a near death experience to tell me what i already know and feel. i couldn't get rid of her if i tried.

Okay, that's cool. But I know quite a few people who have been together for decades and are now divorced. Are they still soulmates?

they were probably not soul mates if they got divorced. apparently they didn't accept each other 100%. as expressed before, i feel soul mates are a rarity. my wife and i have gone through some adversity in the years together, but we remained together throughout because we never have or will betray the other. she'd probably put a hit on someone if i asked, that's how dedicated she is and myself the same. loyalty is a big thing in my family. damn Sicilians!!!

This is strictly my opinion Darkmatter but I think if you are not looking and just in a setting enjoying yourself whether it be at the gym, grocery store, library, etc... it's that certain vibe or confidence, being yourself, etc... that attracts people. AND I'm not even talking just about the opposite sex. Forgive me because I'm probably going to get personal about myself here and I've hardly had the reason in a long time to spill any of this out on the internet or especially on a collectible forum.

No matter where I go, there's always people wanting to know my story. I believe myself to be a mix bag of tricks, I know by looking at me everyone can tell that fitness a big part of my life, no one can tell that I'm a bookworm, computer geek and collect these items or even an artists or can go on about philosophy and what not, until I open my mouth. The gym is my choice of drug and I believe that exterior attracts a lot of people both men and women, all with questions of dieting, working out, etc... at first but then this pushes more to a lifestyle and then a mindset, the mindset of getting up every morning with a purpose. I basically LIVE everyday, I'm nonstop between 3-4 jobs and I really don't even know how I acquired all of them with the exception of what my degrees are in. Everything I've ever picked up interest in, I've pushed the passion, efforts and my limitations on but anyways it always leads to how to live life as if this was your last day for me. I love to consistently learn about everything, learning to master all types of behaviors, arts, society... and I can go on but I'm going to keep it short.

To me I just wake every morning thinking, what am I going to push on today and if there's comes mornings where I wake up and turn out of my bed and feel like "nah today I'm too tired to do that" I force myself and I just get off, I get off out of bed because that's step 1, the first step to doing anything is the hardest, just take the plunge and do it, ask that girl out(or just talk to her), fear nothing at giving anything a go, if you fail you know what to do the next time. Think of it as life is always against you, it's up to you to prove it wrong and rear you head at it so negatives retreat in the opposite direction. IMO again, I believe if you are going at life in this fashion the energy around you changes, more opportunities, more smiles, air is fresher(crisp, easier to breathe), luck meets preparation, the aura is radiating.

Just my opinion, don't read too much into it and sorry for the ramble.

That's what I'm trying to say, you don't know if you're truly soulmates until you have lived most of your life. Unless you're already in your 70s or something. I don't know.

Most people when they get married figure it will be for life, but that's not the way it works most of the time. I hope it does for you.

when i posted what was considered 'name calling' and 'abusive comments', i was banned. yet some people here post the same and their posts aren't even deleted. what goes for one should go for all. this thread was created so people can talk about some things they may have difficulty discussing face to face with relatives, friends or lovers. how some can come into the thread expressly to bash the posts of others that find it comforting to discuss things is the REAL pathetic part of it. is this the ONLY contribution these people can make? a very sad indictment on human compassion.

If my memory serves me correctly he's been banned several times over the years. I wish the mods would learn to enforce and apply rules evenly across the board, but IMO several of them are just as bad as the clowns that get reported.

Mods aren't going to be so quick at banning someone unless they get complaints about that person.

To me, since you can put people on ignore, just do that. Running and telling "teacher" is kinda silly unless it's something that could affect the whole board, like that guy who claimed to be a 14 year old and posted a pic of himself in his tightie whities. That could get Dave in trouble with him being underage. Can't remember his name but I think he was permanently banned.
