RNG god was good to me last night. Well he tried to be anyway. Picked up the exotic universal remote whilst milling around in the crucible. Primary weapon shotgun which is cool except I don't use shotguns and why on earth would I want to take up the primary slot to use it? Lol. But I can see how a shotgunner would drool to have two shotguns in their weapons load out at the same time.

Well, getting enough people for the raid (sometimes even weekly heroics) is giving me a hard time. If anyone wants to add me (PS4) my GT is Darthtorment. I'm a level 27 warlock

Bungie Explains Why Destiny's Iron Banner Event Feels A Little Flimsy

When Bungie promoted the current Iron Banner event, it told players that their weapon and armor stats mattered. Some players expected that there would be a direct translation from single player stats to the crucible multiplayer mode. As many found out, that’s not exactly how it worked out.

In the Destiny weekly update, Bungie senior designer Derek Carroll explains how Iron Banner takes your gear into account. Instead of being a direct translation of the stats you see on the inventory screen, things are still tweaked to give lower level players (and even those that haven’t run the Vault of Glass) a fighting chance.

“Our solution to add power back into the mix and keep the Crucible from turning into a ghost town is to scale it down to a reasonable level, and clamp damage on the ‘overkill’ end,” writes Carroll. “A decked-out endgame Guardian can’t defeat a low-level guardian with one shot from an Auto-Rifle. In fact, ‘time-to-kill’ is the same when you’re using higher-level gear against lower-level gear. The opposite is not true, so an enemy with average weapons is going to have a harder time taking you out.”

In other words, low level players can still take out a raid-geared Guardian. Skill plays into Iron Banner more than originally advertised. Future Iron Banners may be handled differently, as Bungie says it is listening to feedback.

For now, the biggest advantage is about seven levels. After that, the deficit flattens out. So, attacking a target twenty levels above you isn’t different than attacking one seven higher.

In addition to Iron Banner details, Bungie revealed that Destiny is still hosting 3.2 million players each day. Average playtime per player is three hours per day, and on average, players have logged in just under 21 times.

Our Take
While the explanation for Iron Banner makes sense, the build-up and promotion seems to have been a mistake. The caveats about some balancing being in place should have been offered up front. Doing so after the fact makes it seem like Bungie was caught fibbing.

Hey guys, I just got this game along with the PS4, I was wondering if I should sell it since I'm not big into sci-fi shooters, grinding and multiplayer. Is there any reason to rip the seal open and try it out?

While the story is lacking within the game the framework and background is there. The only issue is the grimoire card stuff should be in the game itself. So I wouldn't go as far as to say its heartless.

I've actually had really cool experiences playing with the community so far. Vault of glass raid was a blast and I've been doing my best to finish up my stuff and help others out with theirs. Just played the weekly heroic with LegionPichon yesterday.

Yeah I think the game/ IP will evolve into something more to what we were originally told we would be getting.

My biggest disappointment currently is the lack of diversity.

1) After you reach level 20 there are only a handful of armors you can wear and they pretty much all look the same. All the faction armor is the same with a few slight differences between them, when having different looking armor would give each more personality and history. Some of the Hunters early helmets look way cooler than the ones they make you wear later.

2) And this one just started bothering me and you'll probably laugh...but the freaking ships man. ALL THE SAME with a few wing options and front end options. You would think with unlimited imagination and boundless other works to pull from you would think design team could have made different looking ships. I mean look at Star Wars for examples.

I think its laziness on both accounts.

I don't know for a fact, but there's atleast a few more ships that aren't sold in the stores. I've found 2 blue prints so far and they don't resemble any of the common ships. But I still agree, they could've done more with the ships. Make them customizable since you can't even control them.

theres a sweet Iron banner one, really trying to get the full set and its the only one im missing

Found a rare ship blueprint when I was still playing and it was the same Damn ship that I got from that story mission where the reward is picking from the three ships.

Completed the Raid yeserday.

Got an invite from a friend list guy. They were looking for a 6th Man so I said why not, joined, we went from the start to the end, had to take some breaks to get new members when some had to drop out but we managed it in the end

You need time and brain space on your side to organise teams for these missions. It kinda ruins the game for me to be honest. When you have work and a family to engulf a lot of your time you need to be able to pick up and play when you have that golden free game time. But wait then you have to try and organise other players to go and do what's left of the actual playable game? I've completed the story, I'm lev 28/28 what's there left to do that isn't tgd same **** over and over?

Yeah, same happened to me. One guy just stood at the back for the whole thing and the other left half way through.
PVP does not work (all the time) it's actually making me hate Destiny.
