bryant and terell owens should have lunch together and trade tips.

Bodie ... ,my heart goes out to you in your time of agony. I agree that Kobe is being stupid here because any trade will send him to a team that has given up too much.

Rumors say Chicago is offereing both Luol Deng, Ben Gordon and a third possibility maybe Chris Duhon for Kobe. If I were the Lakers I would jump at that deal. It leaves Chicago giving up the future.

Also Detroit is in the mix with a possible max signing of free agent Billups then pairing him with Prince for Bryant. I cannot see Rasheed Wallace and Bryant on the same team together. Wallace is his own Drama Queen and another one would just gut the team.

So many teams in the league badly are looking for a player who can create his own shot to overcome all the team and zone defense employed these days. That is one of the things that killed the Pistons in the final four this year. They just had nobody who can take the ball, dribble through a defense and go to the hoop hard. Kobe certainly fills that bill - but you need a team around him as the last few years in LA prove.

Worst trade rumor - Shawn Marion for Rasheed Wallace and draft choices. Detroit gets rid of a huge pain in the butt and Phoenix gets to ruin their wonderful chemistry. But it looks like Phoenix wants too much else in return so it probably will not happen. Besides, even though I reside in Michigan I like the Suns far better than the Pistons and want to see them strong to win it all next year.

There is your team Bodie - THE SUNS.... jump on the bandwagon :D

Suns fan?.. NEVER!!:emperor

Why would the Suns trade Marion.. He is the closer like Worthy was to Magic.. I suppose its for financial reasons..

Rasheed is a cancer, I couldnt stand him in college, and he is past his prime IMO...

I would still trade Kobe for Ray Allen and thier #2.. The deals w/ Chicago do not excite me.. I also think its hillarious the Knicks think they have a chance w/ all thier overpaid Garbage. The Knicks have to be in one of the worst situations w/ thier roster in the entire league. Not interested in ANY of thier player as well as thier bloated contracts..

Hopefully the child Kobe will soon find his pacifier and let the organization make some moves.. His child-like tantrums make matters more difficult for the Lakers..

I am very dissapointed in #24..

LOL I just cant help but to laugh if anyone thinks PHX is going to trade Marion for a player like Rasheed Wallace! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

The Knicks are a bad joke. Isiah Thomas has been a complete and utter failure in the front office.

Kobe must have run out of young girls to sodomize out West.

:mwaha :mwaha :mwaha :mwaha You mean "allegedly" sodomize....come now, it was never "proven"...:rotfl :rotfl Out here in L.A., you never run out of young girls.

I've been saying it to my friends every since Shaq went to Miami, that the Lakers traded the wrong person. Oh well, it took a while to find that out. I hope we get a bunch of young talent for him and can have less of a whiny ballhog team now.

Thats a trade I wouldnt do either... Rasheed is nothing more than a headache.. But I think that they are serious on moving him for financial reasons.. Any move in this regard will downgrade the team bigtime..

Nash and Marion are the only guys I like and respect on that squad..

The Lakers will NOT get anything even close in return, I think it is fair to say that with their front office - Kobe does have some legitimate complaints.

But yes, it is DRAMA! :emperor :emperor

Yes he does have some gripes.. But this is a very unprofessional and childish way to go about it..

Jerry West left town.. We rode what he built and won another championship the next year.. Then it all fell apart..

Jerry West was the glue that kept these egos in check.. I miss him dearly..

Bodie - I guess they drove West out of town on a BUSS. Those kids will ruin this franchise if they are not checked in quickly.

One big problem is that Bryant is asking for a great deal more than just a trade. His infamous list of three teams - Phoenix, New York and Chicago places the Lakers at a huge disadvantage in trying to get equal value. Bryant is simply loony for placing the Knicks on the list. A max contract is going to be his anywhere and you do not need to play in that cesspool to get the money. There is no way the Lakers send him to Phoenix. That only leaves Chicago and now the Bulls are in the drivers seat and can make a low-ball offer.

I wonder what would have happened if Bryant had quietly went to management a month ago and said TRADE ME and allowed the Lakers to do it with some power behind them?

My thoughts exactly..

This so reminds me of the Shaq fiasco.. Publicly ranting with narrow options leaving us powerless..

After sleeping on it, I hope we keep Lamar and Bynum and ditch Kobe. Never thought I'd say that, but I can't stand the guy. This is sad because I had been an enormous fan of his.

Screw my team mates, screw my coach, screw the city, screw the fans, screw my provider, its all about me and MY legacy.

**** you Kobe.

Ray Allen and the #2 please...

With all of Kobe's probems I would still be happy to see him in a Sixers uniform.
If Kobe goes to Chicago then they will be contenders next year, but they will still have to get past the Pistons, the Cavs and, believe it or not, the Heat.

If Kobe goes to New York then he will really be frustrated. That franchise hasn't been competitive since the days of Patrick Ewing.

Oh, and the Suns would be crazy to trade the Matrix for Rasheed. I love Rasheed, don't get me wrong, he is this generation's Charles Barkley, but he really started to show his age in the playoffs. He all but disappeared against the Cavs.
If the Suns want to move Marion try trading him for Kobe. Now wouldn't that be interesting.
