The music was **** in DMC2, definitely. DMC3, on top of having kickass gameplay had one of the best rock soundtracks EVER.

DMC2 is bad, but I'd still play it over a lot of other games. I think the gameplay was good at least, but still retained some of the stiffness of DMC1.

I felt the gameplay fell apart due to some sequences, awful bossfights and just not doing anything to improve DMC1's swordplay. It felt off at times, clunky and slow. I consider DMC2 to be almost up there with Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly personally, the only reason those games are worse is because they are broken on a technical level, while DMC2 actually at least functions.

I'm not even sure about that. DmC seems pretty similar to DMC 2 at times, for some ****ed up reason. Taking itself seriously, the darker outlook, everything.

I'll never understand the DMC hate. Its totally fine as an alternate universe Devil May Cry (and if it wasn't for an the angel stuff it would almost work perfectly as a prequel to 3). The gameplay was pretty smooth too. Different sure, but not "that" different. Outside of 3, its probably the most fun of the series to play. About the only thing that I didnt' really like was the designs of Rebellion, and Ebony & Ivory.

It definitely is the second best out of all of them.

You can play as Trish, Lady and Vergil... plus added alternate costumes for everyone. I think Trish, Lady and Vergil all have side stories with cutscenes too. I saw on the network for $1.99 you can buy super versions of Dante, Vergil and Nero that has unlimited devil trigger.

As unliked as 4 was, Reubon Langdon alone makes it better than DmC.

Yea, I gotta disagree. I don't really care for either Dante to be honest. Both Dante's look like feminine hairdressers, and both have really unoriginal personalities. DMC Dante I do prefer because he is at least likable compared to DmC Dante.

I don't play the series for the story, or the voice acting, the gameplay and level designs is what a few of the games in this franchise excel at, and the reboot to me was a lot better in that department than DMC 1, 2, and 4. Boss battles, and the generic characters were my only real problem with the reboot but the amazing level designs more than made it up for it.

Dante's personality wasn't really unoriginal for the time, since we didn't really have anti-hero like characters. And the reboot's level designs from what I played didn't seem that stellar, along with its gameplay. It felt kinda similar to GoW's level designs at times, with that chain whip stuff and some of the platforming. I'll give reboot points for platforming though, DMC's platforming never worked that well at times unless you had Air Hike or something. I don't think its really fair to compare DMC 1 and DmC due to age and advancements in gameplay as well.

Say what you want about the level design, but it's still a hell of a lot better than DMC 4 in that department. While I think the reboot is the second best game out of all of them, I still didn't think it was great. It was solid, but so far DMC 3 is the only great game in that franchise.

His personality is very unoriginal, whether he's an anti-hero or not. Same goes for DmC Dante. I do prefer the original cross dresser Dante over the new butch lesbian Dante though :lol

If they ever do make a DMC 5, I hope Capcom makes Dante look more masculine, I always hated his design.
