I love how "awesome" people make this game out to be and it's been buried on the forum and the sales are only farting out compared to the previous quad-trilogy

The fact their most treasured franchise Street Fighter is nothing but a cartoon anymore is very telling. They're more about profit instead of staying true to their franchises roots.

Make no mistake its a very fun game but people on here dont know that the developers were quite *******s and put down the original. So its only right that The hardcore fan were pissed. I mean from the time the game was announced that developer guy Teameen or whatever put down the fans and the original series. Its not a bad game but its just doesnt touch the originals.

Exactly right. People who diss the reboot get flamed for the wrong reasons. I have not once went after anything regarding gameplay, I'm talking about the cluster **** story. Donte is half demon/angel? How friggin cliche can it get? Every tid bid of the story I heard about just gave me ****** chills.

And Vergil is the final boss? I wonder where they got that idea... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

But Pliskin, you haven't played the whole game right? Only the demo? How can you comment on the story when you haven't experienced it?

I've heard enough about the story to stay away from actually buying the game. I'll get it when it drops 40$ in price.

My bias really doesn't give me any room to not have utter disgust for the new "Donte."

The sales figures for Japan for this were laughable.

Every franchise has a few lemon sequels, but the DMC series didn't need a reboot. Resident Evil on the other hand it might, but the story shouldn't change whatsoever.

They're made at fans because they tried fixing a franchise that wasn't broke to begin with. DMC4 had a weak story and dumb Nero, but I wanted to see where the "real" Dante went after that. Maybe a return of Mundus, or maybe do a Sparda prequel.

I hope the failure which is DmC causes Capcom to go back to the former franchise roots and bring back Reubon Langdon.

I do wish this was a new IP. It would have garnered less negative press and maybe sold a little better, probably not that much better due to unfamiliarity, but maybe enough to earn a sequel.

That way I can have my cake and eat it too. (Have this new universe and original DMC games)

Alas, as a fan of both, I face the likelihood of no DMC games in the near future. Le sigh.

Yes but capcom shares more of the blame. If they would of respected the fans wishes and just made a dmc with story and not a douchy character then they may have won everyone over. The gamplay was there but the character is what people hated.
