How do you know if Dexter just wont start seeing doakes like he sees Harry?

very simple: wishful thinking!
but there have been a few comebacks, so i won't rule it out until i'm proven wrong.

There are people on boards that have gone so far as to say that Dexter has been in a coma and dreaming the last few seasons.

People really want to believe Doakes is coming back.

Just a few things here....

I really like this season better than last season so far. I think last season was the worst season in the series. As for Hanna McKay, I hope her character is not a repeat of Lumen... a blonde with a darkside. I'm hoping they go a different route with her, like maybe Dexter gets the wrong impression of her or something. I'd just hate to see basically a repeat of the same character.

I do hope that the series is moving towards an ending that is grounded in reality. I'd hate to see it all end with it being a dream or some other awful Lost/Sopranos type ending to the series. I think the most ironic type of ending would be for Dexter to die and Debra take his body out to sea and cover it all up, then have Debra take Harrison in and train him like Harry did Dexter

But who knows what will take place between now & then.

It's a gray area around here what exactly "spoilers" means. But I think it's best to err on the side of not-being-a-****-wad by using spoiler tags for major plot points that are still weeks ahead.

People are free to guess about what might happen. That's not the same as a spoiler. If that bothers you there are other threads.

The point i'm making is this, it's a spoiler thread, for the episode.

So if an episode comes on, it's OK to go "HOLY **** DEXTER KILLED HIM" without spoiler tags.

Spoiling the whole season is not ok. At all.
