Dexter: Resurrection (Michael C. Hall returns.. AGAIN)

Watched the first episode of Original Sin last night.
I'm an OG fan of the show. Loved it from the start and lived through all the disappointment so I never had much hope for any of the new stuff. Same here but, of course, I had to give it a try.
And... This time I was not let down!
I loved it!!! True, it's only one episode so far, but this feels like Dexter again!!! Finally!
The casting is awesome and the best thing: it ******* works!!! The music, the narrative, the optics, it's all there! Really looking forward to the rest of this season.

One could argue that we don't really need the origin story of Dexter since it was all already there in the original show via flashbacks but at this point I really don't care! It's been soooo long! I need this and I ******* want it!

I have to agree with you. I entered the first episode with optimism because of the cast and thought the story was pretty great. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

I liked it well enough. It does have the vibes of the original show but that’s because it’s trying so hard to emulate the original show. Almost to the point where it’s a bit too much. The characters are almost like cosplay versions of their older selves.

Also I don’t think it’s doing much to get new viewers. At least at this point. It’s very much a show that feels like it’s made for the existing fans.
