Anyone check out Enterbay/Level 5 at SDCC Booth 4521?

...and meet Arnie Kim, the man responsible for these?

yeah, someone (Student Toe i think) spoke w/ Arnie. he posted in one of the scam threads about Melvin. he specifically posted there because Melvin had been bragging about how he had gotten in touch w/ Arnie and was getting a custom Miller/Hanks. but Student had talked w/ Arnie today and he'd said he'd only made 1 of Miller and wasn't selling it...or something like that

Yup. Met him. he is an amazing guy. Although he speaks very little, he is nice. Not too many wanted to meet the maker but just look at the figures. Those "guys" missed out alot.

Did you get to meet him, Gruff? ...also, did you get to see the half naked Bruce Lee? He said that, not only did he custom made the head but also the body!!! Freaking amazing guy he is. ...also, he is not a full time customizer. HE IS A MUSICIAN. He does customizing in the side as ONLY a hobby.

When I stopped by, there was a lady at the booth answering the questions. These figures looked great!! I kick myself for not getting some pictures...

Whatever the story is here...

Those are THE BEST Bruce Lee's EVER!
Hands down! Bar none!

Wish I could get one!
Amazing work!

tell me about it!!! not too many people there appriciate the time it took for him to make these. The people there just thought, "WOW. Just another figure." They don't know how much time it took him to make each one.

As a scuptor only for 3 years, he did a fantastic job capturing the likeness. It took him about 80 hrs for each head sculpt to finallized.

FYI... the reason Arnie does not want to work for any company is because he doesn't want to be known as just a "sculptor" for a company. He said that if you sculpt for a company, many do not recognize your work but "most" of the collectors recognizes the "companies" work.

Thanks, Toe. I knew he plays, but didn't realize he was a musician first. His web site announces appearances and concerts. He's apparently very fond of Simon & Garfunkel.

I didn't go to SDCC, and I'm kicking myself for missing the chance to meet Arnie face-to-face. Last year I bought a G.O.D. figure directly from him, and we communicated through emails. He does better with written English. A real good spirit in any language.

So the rumor about Arnie being signed to do the headsculpt for Cinemaquette's Bruce Lee is bull****?

I was thinking the exact same thing. I can't believe I have not seen ONE pic from this booth.

And if someone (Tom?) does, ask the folks there what you're photographing. I think it's a display of Arnie's customs, which will be the basis of the production models. And I'm guessing JC Hong painted them all.

The question we all have is...is there anything or anyone at the booth to speak about whether Enterbay's production figs will be as good as Arnie's originals?

Wish I'd been able to go, but it just wasn't possible this year.

That's the final prototype of enterbay. (body and head) The stand (and the background) comes with the figure

Thank you AZN Collector...THANK YOU!

They were not kidding when they said a very elaborate background was coming with this one. Looks amazing!

What do you think Gruff Old Bear? are we happy?
