I know those movies suck but they were not completely done By Disney,
the point I am saying is that Disney doesn't only do Kid's Sh__t, They know how to do live action movies, those were just some examples, Mickey never appeared in Tron or Goofy or anything, it was a Grown up movie that everyone could enjoy, just like Pirates.

My only point is that the people saying this will have mickey showing up in the movie sound very clueless, that makes no sense,

Even the Ride Star Wars tours is pretty good and doesn't have any kiddie crap in it, I really don't understand why people are jumping on the Kid friendly hate bandwagon when Pirates is not even that kid friendly in the first place

(im talking in general, not about what you said)

I know, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time. :)

I dont think Disney will be any worse for Star Wars than Lucas was, and hopefully much better.

Heres to hoping! :duff

John Williams is already 80. It's a stretch to think he will score these, as much as I hope he could.

Where do you find a composer to fill those boots?

Oh God, for some reason when I read your post the first thing that sprang to my mind was the movie Legend and Tangerine Dreams score.

I know I can sometimes imagine the worst possible scenario, but I think the thing that might actually send me over the edge is if there is a Elton John or Phil Collins song in this movie. Hell, any song with lyrics might be enough.

Not when Sideshow releases a new Darth Talon PF...based on the actual actress that plays her.

Not that I think for a second that Darth Talon will be in the new trilogy of course.

Yes but it's not the same. It's like the movie Thor and the classic Thor. :wink1:

Pirates of the Caribbean and Tron had very good memorable scores, nothing with lyrics, Tron score is beyond amazing

I'm a fan of Daft Punk's soundtrack for Tron but it wouldn't fit Star Wars.

well of course not, but they did not use Elton John or Phil Collins is what I meant, Pirates and Tron used scores, really good ones, they are both very different but they are really great for their movies,

So I am thinking they will probably do a great score for Star wars

I also will find it weird not having the 20th Century Fox music leading up to the Star Wars theme. That just seems so wrong to me. Anytime I hear the Fox fanfare automatically my mind wants it to go into the SW theme. But replacing Williams will be tough. He may be able to score the next trilogy but beyond that doubtful. Star Wars is sure going to change very soon.

Well better than nothing right? I will take what I can get! :panic:

Has anyone posted this yet?

Disney's $4 billion deal for Lucasfilm does not include the right to release the original 'Star Wars' -- unless a new deal can be forged with Fox.

It appears that George Lucas did not give the studio that has distributed the Star Wars films since 1977 a shot at buying his company. But Fox isn't out of the Star Wars game just yet -- which raises the question: What are the prospects for the ultimate Star Wars box set?

Disney will own and release future films in the Star Wars series (as for potential Indiana Jones films, Paramount retains some distribution rights and future movies will only be made if both Paramount and Disney agree on terms). Lucas apparently has sketched out plans for three more Star Wars films -- he always envisioned making nine -- with Episode Seven set for release in 2015. But Fox owns distribution rights to the original Star Wars, No. 4 in the series, in perpetuity in all media worldwide. And as for the five subsequent movies, Fox has theatrical, nontheatrical and home video rights worldwide through May 2020.

While the rights on those five films eventually will revert to Disney, that "in perpetuity" pact for the first film appears to be an obstacle to Disney releasing a complete set -- unless a deal can be made.

According to a longtime Lucas associate, the filmmaker always wanted to keep his films together. “Now it seems like he can't have a total package of the story because one of the movies is with Fox, unless they can make some kind of deal [with Disney] to release nine of them,” this person says.

Disney and Fox did not respond to a request for comment. But a Fox insider tells THR that as for Disney's blockbuster deal to purchase Lucas' company, "we certainly would have liked a crack at it but i get the play."

Fox plans to proceed with plans to re-release the supposedly much-improved 3D versions of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in fall 2013. The re-release of Episode I -- The Phantom Menace turned in only a fair performance earlier this year, grossing a total of $102.8 million worldwide. Fox receives only a relatively low - six percent - distribution fee to release those films.

Lucas’s decision to sell his company to Disney--not Fox--makes sense: Disney has the theme parks, merchandising and licensing operations to take full advantage of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones characters. "Disney is the perfect place,” says the Lucas associate. ”At Fox they just make movies. Fox doesn't have theme parks and huge brands. This is a good fit."

So despite Lucas’s wish to keep the films together, the allure of the Disney parks in particular may have been too strong. The filmmaker has long been known for demanding exceptionally tough deals. But one of the few instances in which he felt he wasn’t tough enough involved a deal in the late 1980s with Disney to make characters from Star Wars and Indiana Jones the first non-Disney properties at the parks-- for $1 million a year, in perpetuity.

Hot Toys has to be freaking out right now.:panic::panic:

There is so many big movies with multiple core characters coming out in 2015. The Avengers 2, Justice League, Avatar 2, Pirates of the Caribbean and now Star Wars (and whatever I forgot).

2015/2016 is going to be the year of massive HT delays :lol

Will HT still have the rights to SW? They'll have to make a new deal with Disney for rights to any new films wouldn't they?

we will see star wars on ice in the future.
leia and padme are a nice addition for disney princess.
in your face cinderella!!

At least we could see Darth Donald taking on Luke Skywalker while Iron man and Boba Fett begrudgingly team up to take down Mandarin who is working with the hutts.

In all seriousness, oh frickin dear. Star wars died mostly in 1999 with Phantom Meanace. There was only KOTOR, Republic Commando, Clone wars and a few books that I bothered with.

Ewan Mcgregor, Liam Neeson and Darth Maul are the only good things out of the prequels. Making new films? No. Lucas already raped nigh on everything I love with the prequels. Now were getting sequels!?

^ Just give Fox the money. They do deserve it for allowing the movie to be made.

Give them what they want and be done with them. And then give us what we want. :D

"The film will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond Return of the Jedi.Episode VII is expected to be an entirely original story"

we have clone wars which extension of the prequel.
hopefully it will be an awe, and no annoying character. and this original story can expand to another story. and please dont ****ed up like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was.

cristhoper nolan , Ridley Scott jj abrams, for starwars?

David Fincher for sw will be interesting.
