Evilface has the right idea - sell or give it away if you can't display it.
I am in the process of selling of a lot of stuff, mostly action figures and lesser quality items and holding on to all of my Sideshow stuff.

Like so many here, I live in what amounts to a medium sized studio apartment that's behind my mom's house and as all of my L.A. peoples will attest, storage space is slim to none!

...I would rather have paid retail (or less) for a number of my pieces than wait until I had the adequate space to display them and pay a premium.

In the meantime, I just transitioned through what was on display - you know, equal time for all my goodies.
I feel exactly the same way, I don't want to pay thousands later, when I can get it now for retail or less, even if it means it has to be boxed for a while.

I also rotate my small display areas from time to time.

I have a storage unit that my wife and I keep furniture in and a few of my collectibles. Last week we had more rain that we knew what to do with in New Jersey. I figured I better check on our stuff since there was flooding everywhere. My unit number is 501, every unit from 503 on was under water! It seeped in through the ground and from the roof! I know that I don't have to tell this to anyone, but make sure you buy plastic bins or tubs for your stuff! And get insurance on your unit. It's well worth it.

When I run out of room, which is very soon, I will start to rotate stuff I am not going to sell. Once I have more room more will go out but I would hate to sell something then not be able to find it for a good price later when I have room.

Gotta' have a storage unit, not enough room in the bachelor pad, aka my apartment.

But seriously, there is no way I am selling all of my stuff that I was able to save from when I was a kid. My storage unit is full of my possessions, including toys, from my childhood in the 80's and 90's. It is worth more to me in memories then money, that is why I have a storage unit.
