I rest my case! :D

Sorry to be pedantic, but my opinion is in no way "preconceived" - I look at those images (from the film and the 3 comparison shots) and I see more of a resemblance in the Weta - simple as, no preconceptions at all... I totally agree that some Weta likenesses (if you could call them that) were appalling, but I don't think the WK falls into this category...

BTW please don't use words I have to look up in the dictionary :D

"Eatin' good in the neighborhood" , maybe that jingle shouldn't come to mind as it concerns Wraiths? :horror :lol

To tell you the truth I didn't look that closely at the movie versions either, perhaps in our mental capacities, as small as that may be, we perceive wispy, netherworld beings as slim jims since the food can't be all that great in the "nether regions". :D

Where is the option "No, I don't like the WiKi bust, and every time someone mentions the WiKi bust, my childhood gets freshly reraped"?

Just asking, y'know.

RoboDad's modified pic looks good. Why can't he be a member of the board who give these things a go or not... He got a great eye for detail and possible improvements!

You know, Stig, this actually makes me think...

As this is the official Sideshow board, why don't we nominate ONE respected member of each of the main forums (SW, LOTR, Marvel, Horror, etc.) to act as a Sideshow consultant on a particular line -- or indeed just an individual piece?

Someone who's shown both the knowledge of the subject matter, understanding of the process, and a keen artistic eye in the past.

The consultant could change with the assignment, and, of course, sign a full non-disclosure agreement prior to participation. Sideshow would need to listen to their opinion, but wouldn't be required to act on it.

This would be a way to bring the cream of the fandom into the process. It would be a big step for them -- and not one that they would necessarily accept -- but I can see them agreeing to it.

It would also make for a fun board. :D
