How do you feel about the PG-13ing of movies?

It's to make more money. If I could make more money and bring in a younger audience, I would do it too probably.

It's all about the money these days. The Hobbit, now becoming 3 movies, is another cash grab example. Hey - Harry Potty split it's last book into 2 movies and made tons of money! Same as Twilight!
Let's do it!

But overall, an R-rated movie will not make as much money, if you can't appeal to a broad audience, namely families.
 
^ Then you'd make a great producer, and a hideously horrible cynical filmmaker.

But you are correct. Still. It's nice to see good films both make money, and be incredible.
 
I put "I don't care" as I've come to accept HollyWood will do nothing but ruin some of my favorite franchises for a quick buck...

If i see a remake or sequel to an old movie i like, i avoid it like the plague just so i don't tarnish my fond memories of the original
