I'm still debating getting it. There's more negatives than positives I think for this game. You can't change the difficulty, or round duration. You can't start a fight as a Super Saiyan. You can't have created character vs. created character. No destructible environments. The ultimate moves are uninspired.

What have you been watching? There is plenty of destructive enviorments.... The difficulty gradually changes as you level up... Big deal if you can start as a super saiyan.. Thats what in game transformations are for.... And you can too have create a char vs created char... I have seen them with my own eyes in the live streams.

It's basically only one notch above Battle of Z, and that doesn't say a lot. CAC vs CAC is only online from I've read. I cancelled it.

Have you even played it? Don't judge a game by just a few gameplay videos... Besides from the get go dimps stated this was an online focused game... I would rent it before u say its just like Battle of Z. Cause many DBZ youtubers have stated it plays nothing like Battle of Z...

Stop acting like I just punched your child. I've watched plenty of gameplay and it's not for me. This is just another from a long line of bad DB games this decade.

BT3 is the creme of the crop. I doubt this beats out Raging Blast 2. The character roster is good, but had many retarded omissions from it. Like Majin Vegeta, Saiyan Armored Trunks, Majin Buu w/Gotenks or Gohan... but we get a full Ginyu Force? I really wanted to give this a chance, but I don't want to fork out $60 on a meh game. I always appreciated having Super Saiyan forms as separate characters if the player wishes, and transform higher than that if you wanted... but now it's just a powerup for doing ultimate moves.

They gave every form of Goku for ultimate is Spirit Bomb... which is pretty dull and doesn't even fit the continuity.

I've played every single DB game and I gotta say, after playing this for 2 hours it's very addicting.

I played it several hours today and I love it.... DIMPS DBZ game never do have HUGE rosters... And most of the gaming sites have been giving this game an 7.5/8.0. So thats really good news. I would rent it and see how you like it before judging a game because it dont have an massive roster like Raging Blast... Thats all spike is know for is thier huge rosters.. When most of the chars play exactly the same besides maybe 5 or 6 chars... Each char in Xenoverse plays differently... Give the game a chance...

The game is solid overall. It's a great new "start" to DBZ fighting games.

It does some features really well. The graphics are sharp and crisp, the levels are done well, and the controls are MUCH better than previous games (Battle of Z and Ultimate Tenkaichi). The story is also the most unique and fresh take on DBZ while still borrowing the traditional tales.

On the flip side, there are some odd "quirks" and issues that have been done and mentioned here. My biggest gripe is "Why do I need to go into the Create-a-character world in order to access features like VS. & Multiplayer?" Sorry, but NO, those should be in the main menu. And this leads to another gripe, even though you can play the Single player mode "alone" without other gamers in the hub world, the game still requires you to be connected to the Xenoverse "servers". If I'm playing by myself, why do I need connection to the servers? I was booted THREE times after finishing one mission the other day because the connection to the XV servers was lost.

The fighting is sharp, I do miss some features like the "homing boost" from the Budokai Tenkaichi/Raging Blast series plus the ability to have a bit more "control" over your combos and which direction you booted the enemies. Perhaps the follow-ups will address some of that as there is that awkward stumble during fights when you fly into your opponent and spend a few seconds punching empty space because the flying into your opponent mechanics aren't that crisp.

Bottomline though, if you were disappointed with Battle of Z and Ultimate Tenkaichi and want something more like BT and RB, this is the game to get.

Can you stack Super Saiyan forms? Like if you're playing as Goku, can you equip all the SS forms?

No you can not but I can't think of any game that allowed us to do that

You could in the Budokai games. So you're only allowed one transformation? That sucks.

Oh OK I could not remember. I haven't played those games in years. But I will say this Xenoverse is Tons of fun. You should really rent it and give it a shot. To see if you like it or not.

I enjoy the game. Played it for a total of 4 hrs already. I enjoy the build a player. I just hope that I can enjoy the game without the need to be online. I don't have xbox live, I'm not going to fork out $50 just so I can play this game online.
