Dragonball: The Live Action Movie

The soundtrack alone made the film superior to Street Fighter. MORTAL KOMBAT!

I had a friend who loved that soundtrack and played the tape all the time. I really began to hate that guy. He even bought the old "computer generated" cartoon of Mortal Kombat, which was really horrible, as I remember. I actually have very fond memories of coming home from school, playing MKII on the SNES, and cranking the volume for "Green Day--Dookie" way up!

But apart from all that, your avatar reminds me of something I just re-discovered a few days ago:

The cartoon had a retarded story, and the writing was awful.. and the battle scenes were 20 episodes of guys uttering growls with deep breaths, and watched as the other guy powered up.. and you complain about this movie? I think it's being faithful to the source.

DB was never a deep well thought out product to begin with. It was dumb fun, granted I could have done without the power up scenes. They so could have shortened the battle sequences and made for a more entertaining series.

I don't get the crybabying.

For me DRAGONBALL Z is the best anime ever created and the storyline is amazing.

The most powerfull Fictional chracters ever created.
I know people say that DBZ is just about them screming and fighting a guy in 20 episodes but there is more then that.

the ultimate story of good vs evil and how one alien send to earth to destroy it becomes its most powerfull protector.

seeing the most powerfull being in the universe spend time with hes familly and friends is so awsome and fun but when goku powers up the moster inside of him comes out.

for example in the freeza saga when all hope is lost and freeza kills krillin goku's best friend, goku's rage explodes to bring out the only person that can stand to the strongest villan in the univers.

The action in dragonball z cannot be matched by any other anime.
AKIRA TORIYAMA will never be challanged for hes masterpiece series.

did you guys know that dragonball z has being translated and watched by all the contries in the world.

sorry but for me dragonball z is a master piece but this live action movie will ruined the legendary show.

ok.....I actually grew up watching this cartoon series back in my home country......not the watered down, heavily edited crap Cartoon Network shows(ed) but THE original run up until before GT began......and trust me, this shat of a movie doesn't even come close!....like seriously, this movie looks like a frickin' episode of Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad!!!....whoever was in charge with the cinematography should be kamehameha'd to kingdom come....WORST EPISODE EVER!!!........straight to DVD, I tell ya!..........
