Now for something different!
I'm finally having my custom shelves built so I'll be posting progress pics as we go.
The idea is to have the left and right section be 12" deep and be mostly for my games, CDs.....I might put some smaller 1:7 1:8 figures there if I lack space.
The center area will have a supporting wall in the middle so it'll be basically 2 sections of 35"
I'm going 20" deep because I want some leeway for my bigger pieces like Planet Hulk, Batman or Galactus but since I don't collect humongous piece 20" should be more than enough.
It's not going to be anything super high tech, basically wood shelves top to bottom. I might do some glass shelves later down the line if I want to but right now I'm saving on $$. Not doing any glass doors or pre-lighting either. I'll add some LED (wireles or not) later.

Day 2, the frame for the middle (statue) section. That's the part that's 20" deep, each section is 33" wide.
Wow is it a DIY project? Looking good already.
Nah I hired a carpenter, he already did our living room shelves and is going to do some nice molding.

Not really planned honestly, the plug was on the wall from the stat so the guy just made an opening for it, but convenient for sure.

You don't collect Hot Toys right? These shelves should be good for HT too if you do.
No although I do make an exception for some Batman 89 stuff so I have Batman and Joker and I'm seriously considering the Batmobile.
I do however have a fair amount of Japanese figures in 1:8 and 1:7, even a few 1:10 so that'd work too.
