Rio Hazuki (Shenmue) Regular 1:6 Statue 088/750 - First 4 Figures

Very nice statue! It's not anything too fancy but it's very accurate to the game design and I dig it! I have very fond memories of playing Shenmue on my DC (RiP) and I went with the reg edition because to me the fights scenes happened mostly in the streets and it made more sense.
I hope F4F comes up with a lot more coll ideas like this one for their Sega All-Stars series. Now I just need to play the game again!

Dracula 1:6 Statue 156/500 - Bowen Designs

As you can guess I'm a big fan of vampires and even though I've never read Tomb of Dracula I loved the design of this statue so I had to get it. I love the way it came out, it has a nice presence and the way it's sculpted make it feel old. Very well done.
The base is very cool as well with the tombs, the skeleton arm that still has a glove on it and I like the signatures on the tombstones, nice touch. The one issue with the base that I have is that is seems to rock a bit and the statue is fairly back heavy, not sure if I'm the only one or not yet.
Overall for me this is the quintessential Dracula statue.

Man, how amazing is this piece. Just shows that men are a miserable pile of secrets. But enough talk. Have at you.

Daredevil Fine Art 1:6 Statue 855/1200 - Kotobukiya

Very appropriate timing since this morning I read Amazing Spider-Man #16 which is Spidey's (and my) first meeting with attorney Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil!
Because I wasn't familiar with the character and the internet pics of the statue weren't thrilling I wasn't sure if I wanted him but since I've not yet been disappointed by Sosa's run at Kotobukiya so far I decided to take a chance... and I'm glad I did!
The sculpt is very nice, the muscle definition is great and the shading on the red is very well done. The base is very nice as well and weighs a freaking ton! I also dig the billy club, it's basically a thin wire similar to what was used in the Spiderman statue and that allows lots of different 'poses' for the wire which is nice.
The only 'issue' I found was that the pegs on the legs are just a tiny bit spread wider than the holes themselves so you have to do a fair bit of wiggle and push to get him in nicely but once in he's flush.
All in all a very nice statue that I'm glad I took a chance on.

Robin Hood and Skippy Medium Figure Statue - Art of Disney Theme Park Collection

I'm not even going to bother posting my usual contre-jour pics because this piece is a huge disappointment. I guess I shouldn't have expected much for $85 for a 15" statue but the sad part is that the sculpt is actually very nice but the rest is just shameful.
First of all mine came broken in 2 spots: Skippy's foot (which a lot of people seem to have also) and the feather on Robin's hood (hehe).
The paint is a big mess as you can see. Paint spots/stains on Robin's feet, face, tunic.... the list goes on.
and for all this my biggest gripe is the packaging! For one thing the styrofoam is of the lowest quality I've ever seem, almost falls apart on its own and came cracked across but even a bigger middle finger to the customer is the box. It's basically a white cardboard shipping box with a black and white sticker on it describing the item.

Like I said "shameful", wasted potential. I won't even bother with a replacement, this one goes back for a full refund and I'm never ordering from the Disney Store again. From now on I'll stick to WDCC by Enesco.

Jack Skellington Illuminated Sculpture - ?

This one (from the same order as my Robin Hood) turned out much better. The styrofoam is still a joke (but at least here we get a proper box), the paint is a bit iffy on Jack's left arm and the light-up is a bit weak but overall much more satisfying.
I've always wanted a good Jack and this one is cool, very decent size as well and comes with 3 change of heads which is a nice touch. I kinda like the angry head best but I'm not sure if it's the best fit for this statue. I have to watch the movie again.
This one I'm keeping.
