Apparently half the world see blue and black the other half sees white and gold.....what color do you see? Ask a friend who hasn't been glaring into a computer all day. Lets hear the results. I see white and gold.

Guess I've been in a cave for a while because I really didn't know what this was about.

That's a blue and black dress in that pic. :lecture

Clearly white and gold. I've been looking at my tablet screen for over an hour....is that supposed to make a difference in what you see?

Apparently one can come back to the pic at a later point and see blue and black having initially seen white and gold. Every time I've looked at it it has been white and gold.

Are people seeing blue and black conning everyone else? Take it into Photoshop and colour-pick the image. Blue and black, pfft.

Weird......I heard about the dress debate, but never checked it out until now since it was on here. I just see white and gold and have no idea how one could see blue and black there.

Yeh, the original dress is black and blue, and I'm fine with that... but the image itself? I can't even imagine it being anything other than white and gold. Funny how one sample of the population can see one thing and another sample see something completely different. No wonder people can't agree on ideas when we can't even agree on colour.

I have seen a distinctly blue and black dress since I first saw the photo a fortnight back. I see some white-ish highlighting effect at the right shoulder and some gold hue coming off the yolk, but that's it.

the material that is in the bottom left hand corner....that is black, how people see black anywhere on a that gold/white dress is beyond me. I must be really bored to be posting in this thread, I really don't care. Just shows that I should be spending more time trying to get women out of them instead of commenting on one.

I've only ever seen it as blue and black. Apparently, it has to do with whether your brain perceives the image is overexposed or underexposed. If your brain perceives it as overexposed (i.e. too much light) you'll see the dress as blue and black and if your brain perceives it as underexposed (i.e. not enough light) you'll see it as white and gold.

What kind of blue are you seeing, an electric blue or closer to a slate blue? My wife and both my daughters see a black and blue dress.

In Photoshop the sampled colour of the 'white' stripes is in the blue spectrum. But the sampled colour of the 'gold' stripes is very much goldy-brown.

Huh. How about that.

The colours I think I see in that particular image are purple & mud gold.

Peeps seeing a white dress in the same image seems so bizarre .....
