Dress debate......what color do you see?

I told you this was weird and kinda fun. It just shows you how everyone sees something slightly different.

I'm the same. I've looked at the dress a few times sometimes I clearly see blue and black but I have also seen white and gold and even a light blue and gold it's maddening.

Today I'm seeing PURE white and gold. Sometimes I see light blue and gold. But I haven't seen blue and black over the last couple of days. When I originally looked at it when the image first got announced I went and looked it up and I was like white and gold. Then I hit the back button to go back to all the images and they were all blue and black. I was dumbfounded and started clicking on the images and they were all blue and black. Checked the next day an boom pure white and gold, asked my buddy sitting next to me what he saw and he said blue and black. It's such a weird phenomenon.

I'm only using one image here and people are clearly seeing different things.

I'm sure some people are looking at this using cellphones and tablets, the color saturation has a effect on what we see. But some people on twitter were trolling, posting pictures that are clearly different

Anyway, it never changed color for me

Just showed this picture on my phone to a friend and he clearly sees white and gold and I see blue and black. He thinks I'm kidding him.

The first time I saw it promo-ed on the news, it was clearly dark blue and black. I thought, how can ANYONE see white and gold? When they came back and actually started talking about it, absolutely white and gold. I thought they were pranking everyone, just filtered the picture. I watched it over and over again...white and gold. Couple of days later blue and black. So what does that say about my brain?

Yep, me too. I see only blue every time I see the dress, never white. And the dark, ugly gold color. I also thought people were kidding when they claimed they saw it as white, but apparently not. Weird.

It's not the monitors. If that was true how come the person sitting right next to me saw blue and black and I clearly saw white and gold. It has something to do with the physics of seeing shadows that are not really there in your eyes/brain. I think it's really cool.

some people are color blind to certain shades of lighter colors that borderline two different colors. I could see someone saying it's white or a light blue, but gold and black are very different spectrums. The material in the bottom left of the picture is clearly a black, yet the material on the dress is much lighter, so how can it be black?
