I like Travis Fimmel and Mark Strong. Fimmel especially brings an edge and danger to his roles.

I think it looks amazing. HBO spends $$$ money to create a high level of quality entertainment for viewers. I personally don’t have cable anymore but am highly interested in getting to watch this.
They did an amazing job with Last of Us. This looks every bit as good to me. Looks like a good new series to watch… I’m all for it!

Watched the first three episodes. Not great, but not bad. I kind of see this as very good fan fiction.
Any in-depth exploration of the Bene Gesserit will rob them of their mystery, this is a given.
But I really don't love the treatment here: it lacks a darkness and gravitas in their day-to-day depiction. Kind of a Hogwarts feel I can do without.
Fimmel is playing late-season Ragnar again. Not great.
The Salusa Secundus night life and nobles getting their kicks wasn't very imaginative. Rich *********s snorting drugs and listening to generic techno I can find in my own city every weekend. *yawn*
They're overexposing The Voice, too repetitive and its origin story is cheapening it.
I can forgive the overly expository dialogue to an extent since this has to appeal to casual viewers.
Some of the acting is excellent but some of the younger women can't quite sell it; I find Fimmel one-note and the Emperor is also two-dimensional.
What I like: the show has managed to deliver some real surprise and Game of Thrones level brutality with emotional weight, it looks great for the most part in spite of their budgetary limitations showing here and there in the set dec and repetitive shots.
It's not what I hoped for, but I think it will be entertaining and may yet improve given that I've seen glimmers of excellence. Will keep watching.

I watched the first episode. Didn't come back for a second.
Yeah, I got bored fast with this one. Not what I was hoping for.
It turned out pretty well overall, but if HBO wants this to be their next GoT... they need to do better. I would've preferred series that exists between Dune Part II and Dune Part 3 highlighting the War.

Yes, I was bored shitless watching that first episode. I didn't find any character likeable in the least. In fact, it seemed to be crammed with obnoxious gits.
I couldn't care less about them and their weird witch cult.
The episode completely failed to create any interest for me. Nothing close to anything interesting to entice me back for the next episode.
The first episode of a show doesn't have to be incredible but it does need to arouse some interest.
I enjoyed the whole series. Was glad to see some other material from the old story line. There’s always things to gripe about but I tend to let things slide and just enjoy what’s been given to me rather than to wish for something else.
