YES! Finally! He's being recognized, I remember when everybody frowned upon the idea of Cena being Shazam over some WWE stuff, whenever I brought it up.

I don't think anyone is better suited for the role.

Not thrilled that the director's first real exposure to Shazam was Kingdom Come. That story works for Captain Marvel because that character is SO against type there. That should not be the starting point for Shazam, anymore than Dark Knight Returns should be the starting point for Batman. But. . .at least he does seem to have respect for the "modern" iterations of both characters. And the Johns Justice Society Stuff with Cap Marvel and Black Adam was really really good. I'll hope for the best! But really, in the back of my mind, be expecting the Scorpion King.

Man, Wrestlers sure are the next big thing. The Rock, Bautista, Cena (to an extent).

Well, to be fair, Ross drew one hell of a Captain Marvel. It shouldn't be the starting point, I'll agree, but considering the whole deal of the original books, they could use a bit of a more "realistic" take on it. I don't think a whole family of super-powered individuals and a damn tiger would make for a coherent movie.
