Yep, 1 week tonight I sent them to
[email protected] with no responses at all.
I don't know if I should wait another week or post that pic on their Facebook page to speed up a response.
I don't know who posted it (it might have been you vodoun) but it almost appears that Hot Toys doesn't see the problem, or better yet, didn't see the the problem. It's like that they're insulted that people are sending them these pictures and requests about this issue and don't want to risk sending a free figure to someone. That 1 replacement per customer is absolute crap too. I don't see why they would be smug about the whole thing.
If I owned a toy company, and I saw those two pics vodoun I wouldn't be like "send me a few more hi-res pics of the problem" or "let us see a receipt and more pictures of the figure
destroyed." I'd send you a replacement ASAP. If not a WHOLE new figure (box, accessories, heads) atleast a body, no questions asked.
Yeah, people could be trying to milk Hot Toys and work the system, but it's obvious that these first couple of batches were wide spread problems. They should just man up and take the loss.
Oh, and I'll be honest. Back when I got my HT OC Batman suit in 2008 I tried to "con" them out of two more black hand pegs for my Batman figure. This was before they started packing pegs mind you, so I guess it was kind of wrong. I sent them an email that they "were broken". The problem was I had trouble pulling them out and didn't want to risk damaging them. I figured with a few more pegs I could easily swap the hands I wanted to use.
So I get an email back in which they requested pics and a receipt. 1.) my pegs aren't broken, 2.) I don't have a receipt. I gave up on that one. They were cheap, small pegs that they could have just sent, which I'm sure they have MILLIONS of. Pegs are one thing, but a defective FIGURE that costs 200 dollars? That's something else.
If I had this faulty Batman I'd probably get so frustrated that I'd burn the damn thing.
