can anyone tell me if its just the jacket of the mms that people prefer over the dx10 or is it the pants as well? thanks guys

The DX10 pants are ok as far as tailoring but if memory serves (because I don't have a pair in factory condition anymore) they are very clean and shiny. They need weathering

Does anyone have photos of the actual outfit used in the film? I'd love to do some weathering since the DX10 is offensively too clean.

i guess these are very late stages, if not completely fake (belts have very different amount of dirt). or may be there were many copies of it, differently weathered.

i think you should just copy MMS117 style for DX10 earlier scene - more is better then less, i think, because he stayed very clean not for long.

Oh thank you P.! :duff

Is the first picture compatible for the Cyberdyne scene? I think the weathering from the desert carried over to that scene, there were some rough spots clearly visible on blu ray.

ask a-dev :)
i doubt those two suits are original, but even if they are, they fit only the end of the movie.

he definitely needs some brown spots for cyberdyne, but not so many.

eat this, firehose fans

Okay, I just finished the weathering on my Cyberdyne DX10, but I'll probably keep the Galeria DX10 clean. I noticed that now that the outfit isn't too shiny, the already soft looking sculpt pops out more, if that makes any sense. Definitely recommended, especially if you display him with the glasses off!

did you apply white paint?
i'm looking for an easy and fast way to do so, as i have to do it numerously and don't have patience to do anything demanding much time and labor.

I drybrushed with a mix of burnt umber and white, although any type of brown should work. I wouldn't go with just white as it will pop out too much. It took about half an hour and I focused on the seam lines like in the movie. If you wanna be accurate, use some masking tape to cover the areas outside the seam lines although it's completely optional. If you make any mistakes, simple wipe off with a damp cotton bud.

It's about as quick and easy mod as it gets, so I highly recommend anyone doing it. I can't believe I didn't do it sooner as the stock clothes looks factory fresh, which feels more like T-800 Runway Model..

Weathered figure on the left, stock on the right. I try my best to capture the nuances with my iPhone camera. Note how the weathered figure looks more matted compared to the overly shiny stock.
