Looks better than the DX10 to me. Looks good with the sunglasses.
HS is painted right?

did you find it? because i couldn't find anything except for this one, but i see a sad Ryan Reynolds and zero Schwarzenegger features, so it can't be the one that was discussed.

Yeah that's the one. Getting that clean Enterbay vibe. I don't know why companies are still using that (and its own copycat the DX10) as the 'go-to' for clean T2.

oh. i take back anything bad i've said about DX10 then. it's not perfect, but it's much better than this.

I need some help here. Not sure exactly which body it is, but both forearms can be removed. However, while attaching the endo-arm forarm, the upper arm popped from the shoulder, and now I can't reattach it as it seems there's a little screw in the upperarm which should be in the shoulder peg.
Does anybody have a good advice how to reattach the arm to the shoulder?

I didn’t mean to imply that the new head which I too thought was a shrunken enterbay maybe, was perfect by any means. But if you ask me there’s about nothing that can be worse than the DX10. The original MMS version probably is, I’ll admit that. But at least getting s head that doesn’t have those god awful PERS is a start.

I finally feel like I can display this figure without the sunglssses though.

But onto another subject, it may have been discussed here but both the DX and MMS terminators belts have all now disintegrated. If you haven’t bothered to check yours in years and it looks pristine, I promise if you, if you so much as breath on it it will literally peel apart before your eyes. Guaranteed. Hopefully you are happy living with whatever color t shirt your terminator is wearing at the moment because it will have to stay that way for the rest of your life, if you try and remove that belt it’s over .

Dx13 is still holding up and luckily I have a spare, the thing is I’m debating if I should put some sort of protectant coating on them in an attempt to preserve this or if I should just roll the dice and wait the rest of time to see if the DX13 were for some reason manufactured in a better way that is holding up long term.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads-up on the belts. I just double-checked my DX-10 and MMS117 and both belts look fine but I won't be touching them at all. These figures will remain in their present poses indefinitely.

I agree that neither the MMS or DX10 look good without their sunglasses. I have the MMS in the Galeria rose-box just dropped, shotgun held up pose and am fine with the sunglasses wearing sculpt. The DX10 is in the popular chain-gun holding pose, no sunglasses, and the sculpt hasn't won me over. But I think lighting can help somewhat with the sculpt's look.

Love my two DX13s, though.

No idea about that shoulder up there - seems like it would need a longer screw but how do you get that one out and a new one in?

Yeah the belts are a ****ing nuisance. Time is not kind to them. We could do with some custom alternatives because we can't be having our Uncle Bob's without belts, it doesn't look right.

As for sculpt preferences - well, when DX10 came out I preferred it because it made the face longer and distributed the facial features more accurately. Ultimately I replaced all my MMS117s with DX10 heads and bodies.

However I'm using my last remaining MMS117 head on the Phicen body for the T2 arrival and the hair looks so vastly better and the head works so well with the Phicen neck which can be moved into a very natural position unlike the Hot Toys necks which are totally stiff. If they've sculpted the neck unnaturally upright like DX10 you're stuck with that, you can't make it look better. Of course, with the arrival scene the face is largely hidden...and the face is MMS117's problem - the toadface thing - vertically squashed facial features making his eyes look far apart like a Toad.

So it's always been a case of picking the head that has the least annoying problems. These days I'm not sure which problems annoy me more.

If you could make a hybrid I'd take MMS117's hair and paintjob with DX10's frontal face shape, MMS117's eyes, MMS117's jaw cut, Phicen's movable neck, DX10's flatter chest. Unfortunately that isn't something that can be kitbashed.

Has anyone bought one of those metal and wood shotguns that seem to be common on ebay?

i didn't see a reason from the start. i expected it to be too heavy for pegs (both of mine that use this shotgun do it with one hand).

plus i think you gave a wrong color link, i don't remember it to be red in the movie.

coomodel metal guns have a nice finish/weathering, i saw pics of that M79 but never bought it. the only time i use it on display in shooting position is when it's already broken.
i've got their minigun though, and that is a much better thing than what HT provided simply because it looks different and thinner.
but those shotguns are so clean, like whoever made them didn't mean for them to be used with a T2.

Oh yeah you're right. Hmm. Definitely very clean....still looks nice though.

As for the M79 I've got a Cyberdyne DX10 using the COOmodel, aiming it from my small window diorama at the imaginary police cars. Because it is aimed with a downward wrist angle anyway the weight doesn't seem to matter. Possibly the sleeve of the glove prevents it from dipping further than I want it to.

My only 1:6 project at the moment by the way is not building more variants - I don't think I will do any more unless there's ever a new figure or figures made - I'm just buying up accessories and alternate parts to re-complete all my full boxed-figure purchases. So any figures that were borrowing parts from other figures have had to return them or I buy more of those parts.

I did an inventory late last year to ascertain what I have exactly and what parts are where and I realized that if I ever have to sell it would be confusing as ****. So I'm trying to make it simple again.

That'd be cool yeah, thanks.

As Raymond F. said, it is a lot more silver than advertised, I think that might just be the lighting in the pictures.

Here the gun is in the hands of an old Sideshow ‘The Dead’ 1/6 figure, being used for part of a diorama. Same size as a normal TT hand/arm.

I caved and bought SUPREME's take of the T-800 head sculpt. I personally don't like the DX10 portrait of the T-800: Too soft and poor paint job. Therefore, buying this new head sculpt was an easy decision and I happy to say that I won't look back.

In hand, the paintjob is surprisingly great! And you can notice some similarities with Enterbay's clean version, not a bad thing in my opinion. The inclusion of the sunglasses sweeten the deal which are basically a copycat of the DX10s. To me, the pictures on eBay don't do justice to the work behind because of the inappropriate focal lenght (too long).
