:lol I'm not sure if this is only a problem of the german Ebay
website, but they currently cancel all finished PRE-ORDERS
of the upcoming "Hot Toys Michael Jackson Thriller" figure.
Ebay items must be shipped during @ latest 30 days, so Ebay
is removing all auctions which can't be shipped during this time.
I've already heard from 4 of my buddies, which got a e-mail
from ebay!

I've been doggedly harassing a retailer in Hong Kong which I purchased a preorder Young Indiana Jones from ten months ago. I waited patiently for the figure to be released, and now they are having a very hard time remembering that they sold one to me and collected the funds. Now they finally state that they will ship one to me by this week, but no new news yet. I will believe it when I see it, and may lose my entire purchase price if they do not follow through.

I will never ever again make a preorder on ebay!

Guess if you don't know any better... that seems to be a way the worst sellers make their money.

Actually the ebay sellers are the best prizes for German collectors. Shipping from the US is simply to expensive. I'd rather pay 180 $ without shipping than 140 $ + 80 $ shipping. For us it is really the only source. In German shops a BR Joker costs about 200 EURO for example.

Yep, it's the same for France and certainly for all Europe.

salut WG! Et bienvenue!

Yes, price is often a problem, still, Ebay can be a dangerous place! If at all possible, I prefer going through SCC. If not, well, I have a few trustworthy retailers, both in Europe or the USA!

Hey you're welcome Breaker! Thank YOU for carrying it! :D

Thanks!

Back on topic!

I have MJ on my ebay page and its still on!! but looking at it I dont see any other UK ebayers selling the 'preorder'.

If it comes down to it, I'm gonna sell a picture with MJ on it and say get the MJ figure free in December!! is that breaking the rules!!!

Good. Ordering far off items on Ebay can be dangerous. I learned the hard way, but thankfully it was with an honest seller who honored the deal.

Same here in Spain Bro.

A hottoys figure cost about 200€ = (281.870 USD) So Ebay is the cheapest source.
Shipping rates from US Ebay Sellers are not very expensive but...Sideshow collectibles shipping rates are too expensive and in many cases you have to pay taxes.

Why?? read the spoiler:

Ebay sellers, especially from hongkong marks the items as "low value" on customs declaration form but Sideshow collectibles declares the "full value" of that Item..and then you have to pay damn taxes!! (about 35 or 40$ more :sick )

I haven't a clue who I will use for my regular pre orders if this starts to happen , I guess I just wont pre order anymore then although that usually means the price goes up.
