That may tick you off, but when you consider that sellers have no option to leave a negative for buyers any more, there is little else we can do. I don't leave any feedback until the transaction is completed, and I know the buyer has the item.

If you think sellers who don't leave immediate feedback tick you off, imagine how much it ticks me off when a buyer gets a great deal, fast shipping, and extra care in packaging, but still leaves a negative. THAT ticks me off, and that buyer ain't getting ANY feedback from me (unless the system changes tomorrow so that I can leave him the negative that he deserves).

That is fair enough but it is only my opinion, If the seller has received his payment in the required time frame and without any issues, the buyer has held his end of the bargain/transaction and deserves his feed back, regardless of receiving the item or not.

Sometimes I forget to leave feedback for items purchased on eBay. When I finally remember I leave feedback for like 10 things.

No. The buyer's side of the transaction is complete when they have posted feedback. Since it is entirely possible for the buyer to screw the seller over after payment has been sent, the seller shouldn't be expected to post feedback until after he knows he isn't going to get stabbed in the back (particularly when he has no means to defend himself).

I never mentioned anything about when a transaction is offically
complete. You have obviously been screwed in the past.
I dont see how a buyer can screw the seller over when he has
paid for an item and is currently waiting and relying on the seller
to now post the item. The seller has the power to always do more
screwing as they always get their money first. And that is why I
always expect feedback to be left when payment is received.
