Lurtz (PF) is limited! 1,250 pieces

Time is running out for this nomad!
Aragorn as Strider 12-inch figure has now been set at 4,000 pieces
:peace

... plus 750 pcs. of the Exclusive version of Lurtz!
... plus 1750 pcs. of the Exclusive version of Aragorn!

Only about 50 left of the regular edition Lurtz-> hurry, hurry :D

Nice small ES really for both.

I agree set the ES on Frodo at 500 and let the fun begin. Like I said when he was announced a lot of those that said they didn't like this piece will be fighting amongst themselves to get one.

Yes, amazing what a low ES does to the mind...

I am surprised that not many people went for the PF Lurtz (hence the low ES...) considering how popular his bust was...I know that the PF's are expensive, more so than the original price of the bust...But this piece looks awesome, and I thought more might take it up....Just goes to show I suppose, gone are the days of the 9,500 Morgul Lords, and Saurons.....The scalpers have finally moved on!!:banana

Although, it took what, a little over 1 hour to sell 750 Lurtz's.....but a little over 2 MONTHS to sell another 1200....Maybe, there will be quite few EXCLUSIVES on the market later....maybe, a better price.

So true, it made me buy a Newborn Uruk-Hai just recently, but after receiving it, it really doesn't appeal to me anymore...

(anyone interested in it, just PM me... )

I say they should the edition size should match the size. So for a small runt as Frodo, it should be pretty low :naughty.
Can't wait for the 10.000 Cave Trolls then :D .

How come?? Too ugly?? Personally, I love it!!.... not many people agree with it though... the texture used fits its slimey nature very well... =)

This Lurtz is just going to be another Cavey at least a ROS (in ebay value) afterall it is the first PF.... and with its low ES... looks like i have to fork out a big sum agaiin..... because

I MISS THE PRE-ORDER!!!! :banghead :banghead :banghead

Hopefully I can get one before the price shoots up.

P.S. I have already got the regular one..

Very, very nice ES on Lurtz. With only 2,000 total, I definitely see this holding its value.

The Exclusive will probably become a pretty hot item. I got one off of the waitlist, and there is no way I'm selling it. It's right up there with the RWOS and GOSF for me personally. I love it, and I hope that there are more "Lurtz quality" pieces coming soon than "Frodo quality."

On another note, anybody else think that there might be a Frodo PF SDCC Exclusive in 2007 like they did with Luke? I want to get Frodo, but I really think they'll put out an Exclusive of him at some point. Perhaps a light-up Sting for SDCC?

BTW, Frodo's ES should be 1,000 max, IMO.

I'd agree. Not that it really matters if it does or doesn't to me but I agree that only 2k of him will most likely hold.

Most likely the exclusive will be yeah especially since it's under a 1k made. I got mine the day it went on sale and damn happy about it this thing looks great as does Frodo both look to be great quality items.

I could see that. I actually think that's a pretty solid guess actually.

Fine with me I got one coming and that's my main concern. I'll be happy to have both Lurtz and Frodo in my collection. If they come out looking as good as Vader did in person after all the things are done to it they will both be damn nice.:banana

While they did announce the SDCC Exclusive Luke PF months after the preorder of the regular version, the regular still had not shipped. Customers who had the regular on order were able to cancel that one and switch to the exclusive if they wished (and were able to get one). If they were to offer an exclusive long after we had purchased the regular and were stuck with it, they would be treading into Master Replicas' double-dipping territory. I like to think Sideshow wouldn't do that to us...

Did you put your name on the (exclusive) waitlist?? If you got in fairly early, you stand a pretty good chance of picking one up.

Even if you don't get 1 off the waitlist...I wouldn't worry too much about the price increasing on this...It won't go the the extremes in value of the first wave of LOTR statues way back when...Mainly because there is double the amount of LURTZ...If there were 2,000 Balrogs out there...no way they would be going for $2500 a pop...The exclusive may go a little higher than SS retail, but I don't think too much..

So, I reckon you can pick one up from a retailer or eBay for a reasonable amount at the end of the year...make a good Christmas present!:D

Let's really hope so..... I got in the wait list nearly 24 hours later.... what do you think??? :sick :sick

Nice small ES for both Lurtz.
Got the exclusive. The story is that I was going to see some friend of mine in another town. There was so much snow that it was impossible to leave the town:deer . So I had to come back home. I switched on the computer, read my e-mails and get the information that the Lurtz Exclusive was selling at the very same moment. I Just had to see it to order it :google . Half an hour later all pieces were gone.

Besides the definite low ES, Lurtz just looks amazing. If the final product looks like the prototype pics we've seen, it's going to be THE LOTR collectible, so far. The ES will keep it from dipping in price for sure.

Considering it was the first LOTR PF statue, of all of my pre-orders, it was the fastest and easiest. I remember that I actually finalized the order "before" the official start time. Here's hoping for statue no. 1... (I would imagine that Sideshow would keep an Artist Proof...) :monkey5

First time using a monkey emoticon, too!
