I have it and while the sculpt looks nothing like Depp and it's on a smaller than normal body - the costume is amazingly detailed and intricate. If you're a fan of the film I don't think you'd be disappointed.

But it is incredibly old news - probably 3 or 4 years old.

You know... I'm really getting tired of every item that people don't like being "crap", and especially tired of the Tonner knocks. If you don't like something, just say that, move on, and let it be. Have some respect for other people; if everybody liked the same thing, there wouldn't be a need for boards like this. This rhetoric is getting old...

... and Chase, I'm not picking on your specifically, your post was just the catalyst.

This is another figure that you need to look at from when it was made. Its a solid figure for being like 7 years or older (I think). Good custuming, just really hurt by the choice of hair.

I have seen this one sell for considerably less... with a low of around $75.

Honestly I would agree. I get sick of Deficate Turd... I mean Deficate Dave downing every Star Wars figure (Yet it is clear he buys them.). Howevery, we are all I think allowed our own oppinion. Since I got here people have said this sux that sux. Dont take it to heart Lonnie. People do that. It sucks when they do that and buy it though like the deficate one. :monkey3

My wife has the Medi Eddie(sorry). The sculpt is okay in that it does bear a more than passing resemblance to Depp. The articulation would be pretty good if the costume(which is extremely intricately detailed) weren't so binding. The hands are particularly detailed. I'm not a fan of the film( the whole concept is a bit lost on me) but I have to admit that the figure is well done for it's age...PS

I'm with you there Lonnie. I saw a couple of the super hero Tonner women in a local store and was real interested, till they dropped the price on me. Aside from that I would think anyone here, that sees the quality in a 1/6th figure or statue, would be able to see the quality put into these items. As usual pictures do lie. I can see why they say they are gay, but when they hang it on them for appearing to look like dolls, that takes the cake. Even the Barbie stuff. The figure itself may not be as articulated as one would like, but the costumes are right up there in quality. Frank Sinatra's suit is probably the best I have seen. Yeah a Barbie Frank.

Back on track, one store a year or so ago cleared Edward for $50, I was too late to snag one. I have the Neca one and yeah the sculpt is good, but it's an all plastic statue, made uglier by trying to make it articulated at the hip, with below the knee cuts, ewwwww again I digress. I would want the Medicom one because I can appreciate the costuming, and when and where else are you going to get a 1/6th? articulated cloth clothed Edward? Other than from one of the Asian cutom makers for $500. This is one figure that another company needs to have a go at.
