Well in defense of the Stylish Collection their Cowboy Bebop figures are dead on. This is just a sad excuse, I don't care HOW long ago it was made. But they've come along way since then. The other thing that urks me on this one, is that even on sale it's over $100!?!?!?! I saw it a comic shop in Chi town while living there ON SALE 60% $115!?!!?!
I bought mine on sale for $50 from Tower Records.

It should be reiterated, this figure is VERY Small. It's around 8-10 inches tall. I've kept mine in it's box in storage so I can't tell you exactly how small it is but it isn't anywhere close to 12 inches.

Sorry to ruffle so many feathers in this thread.

Would it be better if I said...

"In my most honest and heart felt opinion I feel that this figure demonstrates a clear lacking in overall quality. I find that it brings forth feelings of distaste within my collectible taste palate, if I may be so bold, I do however respect someones opinion to feel as though this is a well made collectible."

About Edward.....I remember seeing him like 5 years ago in a comic shop..the face was what turned me off this guy..I too, would wish Medicom would make another attempt at this.Always loved the character.

Ha! Deja vu! :D I'm not to keen on Edward Sissorhands myself. Never even liked the movie, but I know some people around here do. I sure as hell would be grateful if someone would point me towards a thing I was looking for, but could never find. Besides, what else to do, when it's past 3AM, and you're waiting for the newsletter...

I wish this figure sucked less... but as is looks more like a Tonner product than a 1/6. I would love it if someone would tackle this figure though, he's a great character from a great movie.

This figure was of its time, as far as I'm concerned it might not be 'exactly' old skool, but it is a classic. Look at it's title, like the first Medi Sid Vicious (another classic) it's part of the 'stylish' collection read again 'stylish' meaning 'artistic interpretation'.
You can get far better figures now, but back then, (03) the competion wasn't offering much competition, Hasbro 'toys' or SST 'serious figures for serious collectors as long as you're in North America'

And remember, we can all choose to either paint pictures with words or we can grunt.

Here's my old review-

as I said, it's dated, but in another five years all our 'contemporary' 'beloved' figures will be dated!

It definitely has a place in terms of its age, but I think its that stylish part that hurts it for me... sadly stylish for Medicom seemed to equate extra feinimized :rotfl

At one point if the hair had just not been poofy I probably would have bought one... but the look of his hair is pretty important.

I just read this whole thread for the first time. :lol:lol:rotfl

I really think in terms of age and the "stylized" factor, Edward isn't that bad of a figure. Yes, the hair seems to be a huge cop-out...or maybe the artist was going for a troll hairdo. And he is a little femme and Tonnerish, but the outfit looks nicely done and you gotta give Medicom props for attempting it. I can't see that costume being easy to do and figures in wrapped garments aren't usually very posable. My SS Mummy isn't exactly doing crane kicks.

I wonder if Tonner is considered stylish. :monkey3
