Honestly I would agree. I get sick of Deficate Turd... I mean Deficate Dave downing every Star Wars figure (Yet it is clear he buys them.). Howevery, we are all I think allowed our own oppinion. Since I got here people have said this sux that sux. Dont take it to heart Lonnie. People do that. It sucks when they do that and buy it though like the deficate one. :monkey3

I definitely agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just wish they could be civil about it. I've said I didn't like plenty of items that have come up for discussion, but that was it... stated my opinion and didn't disrespect the people who did like it.

I'm probably just on edge because I'm sitting here and it's about 80 degrees, hot and muggy, because the blower fan on my AC locked up last night and is squealing like something out of Deliverance! Probably be without AC for several days, and statistics tell us that when the heat rises, so do tempers...

I'm with you there Lonnie. I saw a couple of the super hero Tonner women in a local store and was real interested, till they dropped the price on me. Aside from that I would think anyone here, that sees the quality in a 1/6th figure or statue, would be able to see the quality put into these items. As usual pictures do lie. I can see why they say they are gay, but when they hang it on them for appearing to look like dolls, that takes the cake. Even the Barbie stuff. The figure itself may not be as articulated as one would like, but the costumes are right up there in quality. Frank Sinatra's suit is probably the best I have seen. Yeah a Barbie Frank.

Back on track, one store a year or so ago cleared Edward for $50, I was too late to snag one. I have the Neca one and yeah the sculpt is good, but it's an all plastic statue, made uglier by trying to make it articulated at the hip, with below the knee cuts, ewwwww again I digress. I would want the Medicom one because I can appreciate the costuming, and when and where else are you going to get a 1/6th? articulated cloth clothed Edward? Other than from one of the Asian cutom makers for $500. This is one figure that another company needs to have a go at.

I agree; I think the Medi Edward is pretty good... yeah the face and hair could be better, but the costume is amazing.

I would like to see one of the Tonner's in person; they just aren't something I would personally collect, but I can certainly appreciate the fabrication, and some characters fit the format much better than others.

i've been wanting to get one of these but waitin on that sweet spot price. $50-75. i think it looks pretty good for 5-6 years ago. heard it was REALLY short tho.

It's "You're still a moron :monkey3 " :monkey3

Seriously, Lonnie is tired of all the dissing of other companies, well I'm tired of all this name calling.

Exactly... most of us are adults, but we don't act like it.

Plus old age will do that to you. hehe Kidding, nah Lonnie makes a great point and he should never have to defend what he says. You honestly didn't say anything bad. It is annoying when someone has to be insulting with their opinions and honestly, a lot of the creative people like Jerry Macaluso of Pop Culture Shock, Andy Bergholtz, and Adam Hughes all browse these forums. I wouldn't put it past the idea that Tonner may lurk these forums as well. Seeing as how his product is now in conjuction with SideShow.

I think it's pretty insulting when you're constantly bad mouthing a product relentlessly and on a repetitive basis that is just plain old. These are artists and this is their work, and while you may not like it, you can say while it may not be your cup of tea, saying that it sucks beyond the telling of it does nobody any good. Especially when we are constantly reminded about it all the freaking time. We got it the first 200 times. lol Just like Bonehead and his on going blabbering about his pimp Cup. Yes we got it, you have the pimp Cup. hehe

That's my opinion.

I think thats a good point... its the unbridled negativity and dickiness that can get unnerving. And I'll be better about the Tonners from now on :monkey3 Even if I don't like them.

Isn't this Edward Scissorhands figure part of some line where they really weren't focused on the likeness and it was more of an artistic interpretation?

adults with toys. :lol i'm thinking the toys bring out the kid in all of us.

lonnie, you sure are strict. :rotfl

Yeah this is considered part of the "Stylish" collection I think, where the product isn't meant to be 100% accurate as it is to be just done in a unique style. As a HUGE Scissorands fan, I hate this. I have lots of other Ed stuff, including a tattoo, but this is just kind of.....bad. I always hope Medicom will go back and knock one out via RAH line.

"Guys, we just can't get this Edward Scissorhands sculpt down right. And the paint is just too hard to match"

"I know, lets call it a "stylish collection" figure"

"Works for me and it will give the fanboys a excuse"

:lol :lol

Well in defense of the Stylish Collection their Cowboy Bebop figures are dead on. This is just a sad excuse, I don't care HOW long ago it was made. But they've come along way since then. The other thing that urks me on this one, is that even on sale it's over $100!?!?!?! I saw it a comic shop in Chi town while living there ON SALE 60% $115!?!!?!

When it first came out and was only available as an import many places were charging $200. I probably paid close to $150 for it.

The only bad thing about this figure is the size and the head. Perhaps the all plastic 12" head could be substituted.
