Where did you order it?

EFX direct. I ordered on Oct 16th 2012 I believe. I found it cheaper on a site the following day and asked to cancel it and a year and a half later I have still never heard a word from a representative of this company. The worst customer service I have ever came across.

Received my Thor hammer.

So the info card indicates that this guy isn't an exact replica of the Avengers hammer, but it has been slightly modified based on the original Prop Masters specifications.

Not sure how I feel about this, since it was advertised that they used the original molds, but they left the part out about it being modified. :thud:

There's also a faint black ring around the top of my hammer, I'm assuming some type of overspray from filling in the text.

Yeah, that's a bit dodge

In all honesty it would have been best not mentioning it, I know that I wouldn't have known, but then that begs the question, what difference does it make?

To be fair it wouldn't be much of a comparison, they are different Mjolnirs, apart from the head

If that's what you want to compare, then I'd say, without owning it, that the EFX version is better than the museum replicas (which I do own)

any comparison pics of the museum replica version and this one? I get mine today

I'm sorry, but am I missing something? Where does it say it's not exact replica of the Avengers hammer? It says so right there on the second to last paragraph:

"Our master pattern was made by SAT utilizing their original molds that were used to make the screen used prop"

The 3rd paragraph only meant that the Avengers hammer was based on the Thor movie hammer, but modified to the Prop Master specifications. You're getting confused there, buddy... read again.

isn't the MR one more accurate though?

No. The MR one looks like a cheap toy compared to the eFx one.

Yes, it is an exact replica. What you are reading is how the prop masters took the old hammer from the first thor movie and changed it for the Avengers movie. So this is an exact replica of the newer hammer.

Yep, I own both hammers and the eFx version by far is the most accurate and well crafted one of the two. The only thing going for the MR version is that it's metal and heavy, but I was pleasantly surprised that the eFx one had a really good weight to it as well.
