I hadn't noticed the screw holes on the underside either. Urgh.

Yeah, exactly.
Good diecast aircraft like Hobby Master or Century Wings wouldn't have those holes.
For all the work EFX have put into this, I'm surprised that was their fixing solution.

I'm still very interested in this Falcon but EFX are making it difficult to be 100% certain it's worth it.

eFX make EVERYTHING difficult!

I know this is small, but I'm running out of room & its small size would actually be perfect for me. But, I will order nothing else until my Scout Legend arrives.
& if someone DOES take pictures tomorrow, please, put yourself, or a soda can, or a cell phone, or hell a shoe, in the photo! That way we can get a true size comparison.

I'm not so sure the color has changed.
White balance is completely different between those two pics.
The Wondercon pic is very cool and gives that bluish tone. The Nycc pic is very warm and is reddish.

I would love to be wrong.
Please more feedback from anyone there and more pics from different angles.

It's quite different if you look closely- there is much more weathering/damage, the panels have streaking and some of the markings have been changed on the NYCC display.

I'm pleased this is still happening. But I'm on the fence now between this and the QMX Falcon. Either way I might go with a built model if one comes up in the mean time.

I saw it at NYCC yesterday and I was initially really wowed by it. But looking closer I saw a couple of things that bothered me about the quality of the sculpt. The top gun was all filled in, like it was carved from a single piece and details were soft. Overall a lot of the details seemed a bit soft, but looked like it could have been due to heavy paint. Also, I don’t like how inside the rear thrusters it’s just plain and blank, and the actual blue thrusters looked a little cheap—just a flat graphic.

All I know is if I had paid $500 or whatever for this, and opened it up when it arrived, I would be disappointed. I think Kamandi's models look a lot better TBH.

Looks to me like the difference between what they'll have on their site as product pics, and what we'll receive. I wouldn't assume the apparently improved paintwork is something the buyer would be getting, but that's just me.
