thanks Jonah! i don't think you would have liked Eddie Brock's pics. i hear the guy fakes his shots! :D

Looks good, maybe a bit heavy on the weathering - and the (*&^pit is going to be difficult to make close flush.

According to rebelscum's review it's being reworked for the final piece. It didn't fit quite right on the proto.

I'm glad the final wait for this is almost over, otherwise I'd dehydrate from drooling over the pics. But then, I might have that happen when mine arrives, crap!

WOW...Thanks for the pics P1XAR, I cant wait for that..I didnt think it was as close to the Mil. Falcon in size.

I love this but I can't afford it right now and it should be interesting to see how this does on the Secondary Market because MR's old Studio Scales notoriously took major dives......

It will be even more interesting to see what happens on the secondary
market with the change in the edition size.

Secondary market...If the state of the economy remains the same for a while the dealers will end up selling these at cost or maybe with a little profit. Never liked the idea that they got the dealers involved. They're the reason that the MR Falcon nose dived in value. If EFX had just kept everything direct mail only, you would have had a better price baseline. Since we don't know what the dealers pay for these X-Wings there's no sure way of knowing what the going price will be in 6 to 12 months.

On the other hand if the economy turns around and dough flushes the streets again...Look what the Icon X-Wing goes for if and when one shows up.

What also bothered me a bit is that we had to pull the trigger before ever seeing a production model. P1XR's prototype foto's almost made me bite but I think in 12 months I will be able to get one between (I know, wishfull thinking)$600-$800. It can keep my $900 MR Falcon company.(That was wishfull thinking that worked out right).

Even though I have not bought one, I'am still glad the guys at Efx went through the trouble of making Red 5 available for the collectors. I also understand why they have to involve dealers and the bussines model that they use. Just a sign of the times. Hopefully in the future they can just sell direct to us without dealer involvement.

I don't know what the arrangements are between efx and the AD - but given the way
that efx has now terminated the edition size it would seem sensible for the
AD to get no more than they have already on preorder. If that is the case then the
only ones that are ever made will be the ones that were preordered by collectors.
Of course there could be some preorders made in hopes of there being a tertiary market...

Some dealers obviously ordered more than the orders they received. That's why they still have them available for sale. Once they start arriving at collector's homes and the first hand reviews come in, they will either sell out or the retailer will raise the price to make an extra profit.
