Hey guys and gals,

is $700 a good price for a MIB Hot Toys Elder Predator 2 figure?

The 550 price that person sold it for was like one in a million. I still do not know why he sold it so low when on ebay it goes for upward of 1000.00. Mint in box or displayed.

1) That WAS an auction and it WAS on ebay.
2) The alien and Robots section is full of idiots who are feeding the hype on these figures. A few months ago, celtic and scar preds were selling for under $300...now they are selling closer to $1000.

$500 for the elder 2 is not that ridiculous. If the original poster can wait out, I have no doubt they could find it for that price or lower. It just depends on how much patience they have...

I would have doubts on getting it for $500 these days - $700 is not a bad price for what they go for and if its worth it to you go for it. I got mine about a year ago for $450 but these went through the roof when the new Predators figures landed.

It is true about the hype, people start getting greedy. Not knocking nobody, but the true art of collecting is being polluted with people that is trying to score a buck. If you have the money, and that is you want, go for it. Hell I need this figure also. if worse comes to it I will have to pay the greedy command also.

Great looking figure, not so great price imo.
Hype or no hype people will pay if they can and do.

Patience is a virtue and worthwhile.

there have always been parasites in this hobby. i'd bet every hobby has them. i remember going to toy stores when i was a kid and watching sweaty fat losers stockpiling toys and raiding stock rooms. and then i'd see them at local flea markets trying to sell those toys at crazy prices. scalping didn't start with ebay. the only difference is now those leeches can stay in their parent's homes instead of going to flea markets.

Yes I remember those days also, first it was Transformers G1, then Japanese Godzilla Figures, 12" Joes ect. in Hawaii. I remember the same people waiking up early just to raid the new stock and leave us with the ____y picks. Man you reminded me of a childhood memory almost forgoten.

But If you got it, go for it. Hapiness is everything, but patience and good people here, you might score one! Good luck bro!

Well, we all remember the MIB Elder that was auctioned off for over 1K two months ago. This is why the P2 Elder and AVP Ancients are off-limits for me . Any others but those.

So keeping that in mind, if you're into the Elder and want to get him, $700 sounds pretty good considering.

I sold mine a few months ago for $400. bought it for $300. I wont pay that much for a fig.

I traded a Gunmetal Grey Iron Man for one a few months back, excellent figure used to have one when it first came out then sold it due to some unexpected bills, regretted that move for ages...till now.

Does seem he's selling for around $700ish if you check eBay... but that is probably only a temporary jump. Similar thing happened about 6 months ago then he settled back down around $500.

But, either way he is a figure every elite collectors must own
