Ray, this is an open world game so I think with that in mind it looks beautiful. It's also an entirely different type of game than UC 3. Stick with it, it's rewarding. It's my favourite game so far this year.

the graphic looks ultra in my PC... :) playing it in 7680 x 1440 resolution.. 40-50fps average..

Very true. You can't compare the graphics of an interactive movie (Uncharted) to an open world game with this much depth and freedom. No offense meant toward Uncharted. Its just apples and oranges.

Bethesda games are never going to be as pretty as more focused games from the likes of Rockstar, Bioware and Naughty Dog.

Those games have an extremely limited focus (though Rockstar disguise that well by creating the illusion of a sandbox world) which allows them to concentrate on what they do well.

Nothing wrong with that, I love those companies games as well.

But in Bethesda's RPG's those pretty mountains you see far in the distance aren't background, they are in game objects you can walk to and climb up.....huuuugggee difference, so you can't really fault them too much for a slight step down in graphics and cinematics.

Uncharted 3 (played it, finished it, loved it) = 10+ hours
Skyrim = 100+ hours (at a minimum....people have clocked 1000 in previous Elder Scrolls)

But hey, its not for everyone ....personally I can't see why people have spent 5+ years glued to World of Warcraft..... :)

I am lvl 2 now and you guys are going to hate me but I am not feeling this game right now. the 5min of uncharted 3 sucked me right in.
I might of made a mistake buying this game.
i feel its going to have the same out come as oblivion for me.
started it and never finished it.

the graphics on the consoles dont looks that great. mybe on the pc will be
better. The ps3 version has huge frame rate issues and there is no point getting it on 360 because it runs the same or worst. pc version has lots of issues.

I dont know what to think of this game right now with all this other tittles coming out.
I know skyrim is not about graphics but I want to see better graphics and uncharted 3 for me is such a better adventure and it looks unreal.
no way this is game of the year for me.

no one cares

I received the collector's edition I had POed today!!

The statue and art book are kick ass but the 'cloth' map is severely disappointing.

So last night after reaching level 20 and being furious that the weapon racks and plaques in the houses were glitched and feeling I wasn't playing my character the way I wanted to play him, I made a new one. The weapon rack/plaques glitch fixed itself but when when I went into 3rd person (sheathed) the camera was extremely far away (whole body shown every time) instead of the really nice close up that is supposed to happen. So, I found out getting married fixes that problem. LOL

So, all is right now. Got the new guy to level 12 already. Battlemage (Axe in one hand, Firebolt in the other) with a side of archer and sneak.

OH,

Being a werewolf is sooooooooo BADASS!!!

Add random fire Mage to the list of enemies to kill me almost instantly. Very clever how the gave practically all of the magic based enemies some kind of frost spell. Slows the melee fighter down while draining their stamina. Gives me trouble every time. Makes smashing my blade into their forehead a little tricky. Need to enchant something with frost resist.

Ever thought about bumping the skill level down?

I'm playing on normal. The dungeons have been ok. It's the random enemy generation that's really giving me trouble . It's more dangerous getting to the quest than the quest itself LOL. Maybe I've just had bad luck. Still loving the game though.

lv2? lol you've experienced maybe 0.001% of the game. Anyways I think maybe the technical issues and frame rate things you are experiencing are making it hard for you to get into the game. Uncharted is the best executed action game I've ever played hands down, but its not really comparable to Skyrim because they are completely different genre. I have the PC version, 0 technical issues, 28 hours, level 15 so far.

No offense but I think you tend to get over-excited about too many different types of games. I know your a major military/FPS and MGS lover. And I just remember seeing your comments leading up the Skyrim release and you sound super hyped, and now your giving up after getting to level 2...just kind of strange. Dont yout get to level 2 after 15 minutes? Maybe this dungeon and dragons stuff simply isn't your cup of tea (even if you play wow)...hard to imagine a hardcore dungeon and dragons gamer giving up on Skyrim at level 2. I mean, imagine if I were to go into a new MGS game thread 10 days before release and start saying how hyped I am (seeming as if I never followed the game through the years of development and having just saw the trailer), then once it is finally released, annouce that I'm giving up after playing the intro because there are so many issues with the game. It just shows I was never really that into MGS to begin with.

Anyways, I probably come off sounding like a fanboy, so no hard feelings. I just think maybe you jumped on the Skyrim bandwagon too late and stayed on it too short to give it a fair assessment. But hey, your opinion is your opinion and I respect it.

I haven't tried it yet, but I heard that if you equip a torch, locks are easier to pick. I guess it makes sense...more light, easier to see. Gotta see if that's true and if it's just easier to pick or if the level of the lock actually goes down...

Skyrim Update Coming for All Platforms
"Calm down, we're working on it."
November 15, 2011
by Andrew Goldfarb
Patches are coming to fix reported bugs in Skyrim. Bethesda has confirmed that issues will be addressed for all systems, and that work is currently underway on the updates.

"We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address any bugs and [performance] issues we can," Bethesda VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines tweeted.

Our The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Video Review

Hines addressed the concerns of fans on Twitter, including some who were a little impatient. In response to one tweet, Hines wrote, "Patches/updates take a little time. We can't turn it around quite that fast. It's been three days. Calm down. We're working on it."

The update will likely fix the Xbox 360 graphics issues that Bethesda has already addressed. A release for the patch hasn't been confirmed, and Hines wrote that the company is "not going to give timeframes on this" for now.

People and their graphical horniness..

Games aren't about graphics but gameplay. If you have fun, you don't care about graphics.

Atari barely had graphics but I still enjoy them today.

Yeah man, you can't compare this to UC3 for starters. Two different games. One is interactive movie on rails, this one is huge open world. And you have to know a game THIS HUGE in scope and scale is going to have bugs and issues. Thankfully these are also the days of quick and easy patches. Click and done.
Secondly, this is better off on the PC anyway I am guessing. Easier to tweak and adjust things, and again, patches come out quick and often.
Most people are saying this game is epic and one of the games of the year for sure. They can't all be wrong. It has to be good on some level. This type is just not for everyone, that's all.
Again, it's a big game and so epic in scope, that's why people love it and it's ambitious doing that I guess.
AS far as graphics too, a game this big, yes is not going to also focus on the best graphics possible either. It's more about the size then the graphics. That being said, on my PC it looks amazing, has fluid framerates and running at insane resolutions. If I don't get into it, it's not because it's not a great game, it's probably because I'm busy with WOW or something lol But I have all winter. I wll play this game I believe.

I'm all about PC right now man. Just playing PS3 for those "exclusive" titles like the Uncharted series. I will play #3 when I'm done with the second.

And my line up of PC gaming right now looks like this all winter:
COD MW3
BF3
Batman AA and AC
Skyrim
WOW
NFS the Run
etc

Hey man you can adjust the camera distance you know. For xbox hold down right slick and while holding it down move left stuck up or down, you can have your character really close to the screen in third person or far away, adjust it to your distance liking.
