Loving this game! I'm nowhere near as far along as you guys, but having fun just building my character up before I get serious with the quests.

Here's my dude so far, still have Lydia with me. Went with the wood elf this time around and trying to focus on archery & destruction spells - but it's hard to stay away from the old faithful two handed stuff :lol

Where did you get that cool helmet from, haven't seen on of those before?

Hey, I love the look of your character! Very cool! What's his name? That horned helmet is great too! Can you put armor on Lydia, like you could with companions in Fallout? I wondered about that since I have played a little, but haven't got to Lydia yet. Let me know. Thanks! :wave

Yup you can, pretty much works the same (they will only equip better equipment, and not things like sexy underwear)

It was some cave I came across IIRC, it's called the "Helmet of Yngol" or somesuch. Steel armor rating with an extra 30% frost damage resistance :yess:

Thans man! My dudes name is "Khoric", and yeah you can put armor on companions (like vareika said). Though I don't bother with it and just let her use what she wants. Right now she's weilding two magic staffs, it's pretty bad-ass actually!

Nah... I spent weeks studying guides/character builds before I started mine in Oblivion.

But I find I cannot truly enjoy these games on consoles. I can't stand knowing I screwed up my stats or missed something, I'm a completionist/perfectionist, but it's near impossible in these types of games. I now only buy on PC because I can just type a few things to fix ____.

So am I thats why I keep starting over. :lol:lol

Not sure if steam allows direct links...giving it a try:

My Skyrim character's current follower and likely marriage target. If you tell your follower to sleep and then proceed to try and sleep on the same bed, they say something funny.

I'm gonna marry her this go around. Didn't see her on with my previous character until I was already married. And I don't think you can cheat on your wife. HaHa :lol

I think my addiction to this game is slowly killing me. I got way too caught up in the smithing perks. Anyone know if there is a bonus for taking all the perks in a single skill?

Got to level 11. Weapon racks/plaques glitched again. Starting over for a 4TH ____ing time!

Why do you keep starting over? I started over once. I played for 27 hours and thought my Nord was to clean looking so l restarted and added war paint, i didn't mind starting over because the game is fun.

Of course there is a bonus you can do what the perks are for those skills. I actually don't like the skill upgrade/perks in this game. I don't even inchant my armor (even though l would like too) because you can't upgrade that armor until you have a level 60 in smithing, l think that is stupid. Another example lock picking, once your skill is higher you should automatically be better and make it easier o pick harder locks, but no you have to use a perk for that, again kind of dumb.

Isn't there some in game option for you to add facial tattoos? Sounds a bit heavy going having to replay just to change how your character looks.

I dunno if there is a character customization within the bulk of the game. Do you really have to restart to add a tattoo or get a shave and a haircut? I am curious about this as well. :dunno

Just looked at my last save and I've already put 18 hours into this game. That's sort of hard to believe since I've been very busy this week, but today and yesterday I've had a ton of time to game. This may honestly be one of the greatest games I've ever played. I've put 18 hours into it already and it feels like I've barely scratched the surface. There is just so much to do.

By the way, has anybody encountered the quest that starts with the drinking game? :lol I'm doing this one right now and I think it is my favorite quest so far.

That quest is epic! Had me laughing all the way!

A night in Skyrim involving a giant, goat, witch, and marriage proposal is an epic win!
