Wtf, just realized they got rid of Athletics and Acrobat!

In Oblivion they nerfed it... but they just simply got rid of it this time!

I understand why they might have done it, but they could have easily kept Oblivion's jump height (not Morrowind's superman jumps) and attach it to some other skill tree.

This probably means I can't run on water anymore either! Gah!

I can't pretend to be a crazy ninja anymore :-T.

Yeah.

But they could have made super jumps a perk(s)!

And I forgot about the ol' Levitate they got rid of in Oblivion. Damnit! Morrowind was ugly but it sure had cool abilities.

Is there a limit to how much we can build our characters? In previous games we could max everything if we chose to (just took a bloody long time).

Wish they didn't give you regenerating health... sleep is now pointless. You don't even have to sleep to level up I'm guessing (I haven't leveled yet haha).

Oh and the controls are god-awful for PC... have to use a Xbox controller.

Other than that... this game is totally cool. Seriously.

Morrowind was hilarious. You could endlessly stack abilities to give you almost unlimited power.

I remember creating a superjump that would cover half the island, combining it with a softfall so I wouldn't splat. Closest thing to flying in an Elder Scrolls game.

Plus levitation was funny in that you stay suspended for minutes at a time and fire a super fireball downwards capable of nuking entire cities. I think it was Balmora (I think that was its name LOL) I wiped out with a single fireball :lol:lol

Just got my Smithing up to 100!!! Time to make some Dragon Armor.

Get your enchanting up to 100 and put 2 Enchantments on each piece of armor. Ultimate ownage.

Putting one handed/Two Handed/Bow Damage enchantments on each piece can get you +160% damage.

What's the best way to level up smithing?

Go to Whiterun and buy Leather Strips and Iron Ingots from WarMaidens. Make nothing but Iron Daggers. Enchant them at Dragonreach with something that will sell them high (like Banish or Paralyze). Then you can sell them both inside and to the woman outside of Warmaidens and also to the dude at the Skyforge. Wait 48 hours for shops to restock money to sell daggers and buy ingots and leather strips. Repeat to level 100.

You'll need a crap load of soul gems and it's a good way to level up enchanting too if you haven't already. You can buy soul gems from the court wizard at Dragonreach. Don't waste money on Grand Soul gems because no merchant can buy a full charged Banish Iron Dagger at 1500 gold anyway. Buy common and petty and you'll be able to keep a good flow of income, enchanting, and smithing going.

That does work but can also be a gamebreaker.
Its a two edged sword, pun intended.

Ok care to elaborate? :lol

One of the problems is that it can make you level up really fast. That can put you at a disadvantage against the tougher enemies, because you've leveled up too fast and only improved smithing.

The other problem is that it can make the game far too easy, ironically. When youve got level 9000 swords and armor, youre unstoppable.

Its always going to be an issue with a game that allows the player to do what they want.

Fair enough, thanks for that. I might just use it that method to level up to 50 or so in smithing and then continue the main quest for a bit and maybe come back to levelling it up later.

Exactly.
It's just better to take your time and level naturally and evenly.
You'll be rewarded with a richer gameplay experience overall than trying to work "the system" and becoming some uber enchanted armored tank early on. That said, Bethesda made a mistake in making daggers an equal to more complicated and expensive pieces when leveling.

What do you guys think of this Raychul chicks review?
And yes she has "boob"s, but she truly is a gamer girl who knows her stuff! lol

I think she is at least being honest. Loves the game, addicted to it, but knows it has tons of faults that when taken separetly, are not that amazing.

I know there might be alot of hardcore fans who will think she is stupid and wrong lol But for those that have played it in an unbiased way, what do you think? Agree with her or no?

Because I'm still trying to form an opinion as to whether I want to bother starting this game or not. Or just focus on the back log of games I need to play first, since my PC upgrade. Namely - Crysis 1 and 2, Batman AA and AC, Witcher 1 and 2 etc.
The more I hold back from starting this game, the more I feel I don't even want to get involved and have this one game suck my time away lol

She is right in a lot of points actually. I highly disagree when she says the graphics suck, they are very good on my 360. l agree characters have no personality, and each mision is usually the same thing over and over.

She didn't make much sense when she said " this game is very addictive but doesn't deserve game of the year", well game of the year should be addictive.

I think they did screw up in a handful of areas on this game as well. one thing l wish they had in the missions section was the title of the mission, like what it is for. whether this mission is for the theives guild, or the companions or what ever so l know where that mission came from. When you have lots you forget where they came from and what the stroy line for that mission is.
