Unfortunately, SS's factory QC have let quite a lot of pieces pass that you hardly needed a microscope to spot right away. Breakage, torn fabric, fingerprints in the paint the lenght of half a finger, lightsabers not working and battery hatches missing to name a few. I wish these were just "small imperfections" but sadly they are not and things are far more worse then ever before.

I would agree with this. The counterpoint to tylerd and kitfisto's argument, I myself don't understand how people can live with obvious flaws in their collectibles, and unacceptable QC standards.

The ill Jedi & NightCreeper, glad you liked it gents, this was afterall just a for *hit and giggles kind a thing and i'm glad some people got a laugh out of it

Nash,

I am not saying people should accept obvious flaws and I even said that if the fingerprints on Emma were obvious that I would have returned it as well. What I am saying is that nearly every statue does have some form of flaw if you look hard enough and we do have some collectors that will scour a piece in search of these flaws and then return or destroy that statue.

Statues are like life in that if you search hard enough for something wrong you WILL find it.

Thing is, who gets to decide what an "obvious flaw" is or isn't? It all boils down to "to each his own", no matter what arguments gets thrown around.

Also, when you post regarding a piece you've had the need to replace and people start throwing "Statues are like life in that if you search hard enough for something wrong you WILL find it." around, it's hard not to feel pointed out as excessively picky. I know that was not meant for me, but i used it to make my point.

Glad you liked it dunedain :D

I'll just agree to disagree then. I wasn't "throwing statements around", but I guess just like statues people will assume you are which leads to your "to each his own" statement.

Once again I am not saying people should live with obvious flaws, but I also think there are people who are overly picky. I think a crack or broken part can be a big deal, but a small paint chip that can be fixed easily isn't. That's MY opinion. I am not trying to decide what one person can or can't live with. I am just giving my opinion on some collectors in general.

Again, not everyone might find issues like those that easy to fix. That's my point and nothing to really agree or disagree on. It's a fact that some people are better at craftmanship then others and therefore will have different degrees of acceptance as to what will have to be replaced and what will not. Then of course, we have the people who even if they could take care of the issue themselves, feel like they shouldn't have to at these price-points and i can understand as well as respect that although i would fix it up if i could myself and have done in the past with what i have been able to.

You forgot to highlight the "That's my opinion" part. :D. Never said it was a fact for everyone, but just how I personally feel about it.

Arguments and opinions aside, cool video.

Thanks and yeah, this thread really was not meant to host a QC acceptance debate.

Nothing wrong with a debate however :)

Kit, i think it was pretty clear that it is your opinion as you wrote it yourself and the fact that it is your opinion just has no relevance in the case of making my point :D

Writing "IMO" is redundant. :monkey3 Just sayin'.

And what a great vid! :rock Made me feel all primal inside, like I should start throwing rocks and rotten fruit.

PS. GM, I trust you got a permit before building that fire. :monkey3 :monkey5 :D

Sure, i asked myself and i said it was fine :lol

Glad you liked it gents, just spoke to Tony and there's already talks of a sequel  :D
