The pics posted by INFECDEAD looks wrong!

Because, in reality the throne is more larger and imposing especially the top part. However I repeat the throne is not 100% accurate but it turned out better than I thought

Not sure if it looks wrong but there is a pic above that from Viper. That still has the throne that is very narrow at the top.

I was holding out for this because I couldn't decide if I should get this or the 1:1 bust for my sith display. The bust looks a little off to me in the pics plus it's much harder to find and more pricey. I think I'm going to order the Pf through a retailer. I like it way more now than when the pics first came out.

Get this 1:1 bust instead

Is not 100% accurate but this is the best representation of the character on the chair in my opinion.

from that movie still i now have to say the sides in the movie chair look wider, when you look to the left and right of his face lol
but its splitting hairs really, i cant find any fault that is so blatantly wrong with it aside from the top front coming to a point or not

but the attakus looks horrible

question for the pf owners
where do his feet fall? on the 1/6 he almost has to hop down off the throne lol

The Attakus one looks like a joke - when I was first reading your post I thought the photo of the Attakus was taking the piss.

The SS looks fantastic.

except for the width of the throne, i think the hood can be easily fixed. hey viper, have you tried to lower the clip and adjust the hood so palpy can get more room in there?

I thought a long time in getting the SS 1:1 Palps bust even if I didn't like the pose, the material the robe was made of, the grin and the ROTS appearance. But when I've seen this offered in VERY limited numbers by the the highly skilled professionals at Elm Studios I knew I needed to have the best rendition of Palpatine.

The problem with the PF and the throne is not too big, but don't forget you are paying A LOT OF MONEY for it. Why is so hard for SS to look closer at the collectibles they are creating and try making them a bit more accurate... It is not too much to ask for the expensive price we pay for these. But also when someone dares to criticize something, people getting it of course are trying to defend what they bought/are buying. It's in the human nature.

Of course the throne might not be easy to make exactly like in the movies and also the helmet from the upcoming PF Stormtrooper might not be looking exactly like the screen used ones, but the difference is quite big even for a non-trained eye. We don't need to be exactly 100% like screen used, that would be stupid to think, but to see SS taking a good care of the items they are releasing, this from the accuracy point of view as well. And again remember we are not talking about $10 action figures here...

You know while were on the subject, the 1:1 palp bust looks incredibly life like, but I see little resemblance to Ian McDiarmid. So enjoy having a bust that doesn't look like it stepped directly off the screen, sounds like it must be your living hell.

as for me, this did come out better than I expected. I was going to get it down the road, but may now pick it up sooner.

btw, that attakus pic is horrendous - mine doesn't look like that at all (not that it's better than the SS sculpt).

No offense but until the SS PF came out The Attakus was the Best...Its not that bad plus the fact normally one does not look at pieces from four inches away...

Nothing wrong with that I don't think someone should spend a 1/2 grand on something if they see flaws. I tried to make myself buy the bust from SS but it just didn't seem like a good respresentation of the ROTJ Emperor IMO. Like ambasah said I am surprised how this PF came out and I'm looking to buy it but I also like the Bust that Jkno has pointed out as well.

Exactly. If one would read my replies closely instead of posting "just for fun" would have seen what I really said. BTW that 1:1 Palpatine bust is also in Gino's collection, so I think that means something.
