Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.
whats the recipe that you used for Kithaba
Thank you.
I studied the paused movie, gathered internet photos, researched master customizer’s characters, and combined elements of the action figure and movie character. Then I gave it my best effort so I could have a 1/6 Kithaba in my collection.
Here are my Kithaba notes
• Enaud Barada/Kithaba head (drilled out for Hot Toys head plug, white primer, Model Color brown violet base coat, English Uniform, yellow ochre dry brushed, ivory teeth, Model Color skin tone eyes, baal red wash eye corners, Model Color Light Green Blue iris, gloss on eyes/nose, black, Army Painter Dark Tone wash around teeth, etc.)
• Body: 1/6 ZCWO male body
• Modified body with sculpted neck, chest, and back muscles, w/ black Apoxie Sculpt painted, etc.
• Hot Toys predator hands modified drilled / re-sculpted to hold Skiff guard weapon, repainted etc.
• Hot Toys samurai predator wrist pegs
• Shirt: BBK Cowboy shirt
• Pants: Hot toys Michael Jackson Thriller red pants
• Boots: Joachim Peiper boots
• Chest pouches painted black (Scale TS Toy Soldier Vietnam MAG Pouch x2 & Map Pouch) - made sandy with pastels.
• Black chest combat belt wrap / Delta SPC belts
• Dark Red head bandana (sewn fabric tube turned and dyed repeatedly Dark Brown and Fuchsia until dark enough)
• Sideshow Endor soldier vest with vest pockets removed. Fold under bottom and use liquid stitch (fabric glue) to secure. Painted vest (dyeing did not give me the exact color I wanted) I used Model Color Dark Sand thinned with water
• Black leather belt and gun / blaster holster cut, sewn, etc.
• Sideshow Blaster
• Made a leather X shaped buckle with leather / oval shape (Position over shirt)
• Nailheads for X shaped buckle
• Added 1/8 inch leather belt loops painted Model Color US Field Drab
• Added silver chest vest beads
• Weather and desert dust everything using desert (yellow sand, Iraqi sand, etc.) paints, pastels, flat spray, etc. oily black cloth dye mixture
Kithaba skiff guard weapon
• Primer black
• Gun metal dry brush
• Chrome metal spots
• Chainmail worn spots
• Sandy desert paint colors (yellow sand, Iraqi sand, etc.) and pastels accumulation
I probably forgot something. There are always lots of little details. oh details... Keep in mind lots are details are not 100%, like the buttons or neckline on the shirt, I wanted predator hands, etc.
